Friendly reminder that these dudes will be coming out soon and to be nice to em and give em their space. Without them our entire ecosystem would collapse.

Ahh heck, it's too damn cold to go outside, and I'm bored, so I'll show off my pride and joy Non-Gen 3.

She's a 1981 Jeep CJ7 that my father owned from new. I restored it back in 2011-12 in my garage. Mods include an AMC 360 V8 in lieu of the factory I6. T-19 4-speed manual in lieu of the factory SR4 trans. Old Man Emu 2.5" lift springs and shocks. Warn 8274 winch. Dual batteries with isolator. Complete body and frame restoration.

It won't win any car show awards, but I was pleased with how it turned out, especially for my first attempt at auto restoration.

    Nice CJ!

Love the OME suspension on our CJ. We used YJ OME springs with the conversion kit paired with Bilstein 5100s. Much improved.

I'm not a Jeep expert or anything, but I can say I'm very jealous of your entire experience. That looked like a lot of fun with a ton of learning!

When I'm done with this military thing, I'm going to restomod something in my garage.

I put a pinch of salt in my coffee grounds every day. I definitely notice a difference in the bitterness/taste. Only drink straight black coffee. I don’t drink/buy expensive coffee grounds though so YMMV.

Think it'd be good with cowboy coffee? I usually just boil up the ol instant Folgers.

Not sure it would help with cowboy coffee but it may. I do a lot of cowboy coffee during elk bow season. Same grounds over and over every morning. Just add more water ha mainly drinking coffee grounds with water after a few days.

T19. Basically it's the same as a T18 only with a synchronized 1st gear, so you don't have to be at a complete stop to shift into 1st, like you do with a T18.

Beautiful CJ! I love the roll cage, but it wouldn't work with my hardtop.

I learned to drive in my Father's 1972 CJ5, even took my drivers license test in it. The instructor said he'd never done a test in a CJ with a 3-speed manual. LOL

That's a great looking machine! I'll bet the restoration was fun. The 360 V8 is a great upgrade.

I had a '76 with the Spicer T-18, I always assumed 1st gear was just bad haha. I would just stuff it into first while moving and listen to the gears crash together.

Not to nit pick, but Borg Warner made the T18 transmissions, not Spicer.

The T18 is considered by many as the best transmission AMC ever put into Jeeps. They are almost indestructible, and guys love the crawler 1st gear for wheeling. The T-19 followed the T-18.

Here's all you ever wanted to know about the 2 transmissions.
