What kind of camper do you have???

Not sure it you know but the mirror glass is released by prying straight up from the bottom of the mirror.

 

Good to know, but I didn't need to remove the glass at all. I used weedwacker string to fish the wiring through the mirror's bottom cap, up and through the arm, then back into the inside of the door where the N5 connector is on the drivers side and the M6 connector is on the passenger side. I stopped for the evening, only had about 30 min to mess around with it. VLED's came today so I'll finish up tomorrow.
Pin 6 on each connector is (+) and Pin 5 on each connector is (-)
I'll tap into those to feed the puddle lights and use the VLED hardnesses so I can connect/disconnect as required if I ever need to remove the BAP mirrors. And the stock mirrors will retain all functionality.

 

When I wired my puddle light up I used the wire that powers the rear cargo light. I have control from the switch to turn them on and off and when I unlock the truck the lights come on. The wire is easy to get to because it’s under the driver’s side kick panel right were your working.

 

Oh that's good to know. My platinum came standard with puddle lights so the wiring is already there. No need to manual control of it, I'll just let it come on when I unlock the truck and then the light fades after a certain amount of time if the door hasn't been opened. I won't need to go into the truck, I'm able to use the M6 and N5 connectors that plug directly into the mirror harness at near the tweeter.

 

All finished up. They fit well. They work just like the OEM puddle lights. Fading off when they turn off. On right away when you click unlock.

2001 StarCraft Starblazer, dry weight was around 1500 lbs before i took out some cabinets that weren't being used and a 12 gal water tank. Yes, I know the straps are kinda janky but it's old and id rather break a strap than have the mounts get ripped out of my camper when I'm on some rough stuff, so that's how I did it. Currently working on replacing the screens and doing a lil restoration/remodel.

The day finally came to pick up the new "project", Winnebago Voyage 2730RL bought the trailer back in December but couldn't pick up until today, the project side is this time we are building the off grid battery system from ground up, 960AH of batteries, and everything will be Victron this time, I bought everything minus the batteries from Explorist, they had been terrific in helping out planning out and the components, https://explorist.life/

She towed better than the 21ft Micro Minnie.

 

I'm in the middle of installing a full Victron system in my Micro Minnie. Also got most of my parts from Explorist Life minus some of the wiring which I sourced myself since I wanted a lot of extra in case of mistakes (of which there have been plenty so far).

Perfect camper for the two of us, but also has bunks for the grandkids and table also becomes another bed.

 

That's the way to do it man, Micro Minnie hits that sweet spot, it does 90% of other fancy off road trailer does for 40% of the price, and do it via victron is just the proper way, are you keeping the GoPower solar controller?

No, I've heard that while it claims to be lithium compatible it can have issues in lithium mode, so I'm bypassing it and putting in a 75|15 Victron for the single roof panel for now until the roof warranty is expired and I feel comfortable installing more panels up there. I'll use a 450W portable panel with a 100|50 Victron controller for the side port and then just run a generator if I have to for now.

After much research and being told it's the best brand out there just behind Air Stream we figured we couldnt go wrong.
So far we've had zero problems with it.
And without us having any kids it's the perfect size.
Of course we have two big Boxers which probably take up more space since they insist on sleeping with us in the bed.

Using that thing in the winter Sucked!!
You'd go through a 10 gallon canister of propane a night and you were still Cold!!
With the bed being a slide out it was like a meat locker!!

 

I probably should update my camper situation. Had a 21LT toyhauler and it was fine, but after swapping the sxs from a little(r) unit to the CanAm Maverick, it was just too tight in there. Swapped out the toyhauler for something considerably more comfortable, and we can haul the sxs in our cargo trailer since we have a camping lease and can make two trips.

 

Nice, I was going to say avoid using GoPower solar controller, that thing blew twice on me until we put in an isolator switch.

 

Do you guys know if Camco sewer hoses will fit on a Valterra drain?

 

No, but there are plenty of options for an adapter

I have another hose as well but no idea what brand it is. I am going out tomorrow so I better hit Amazon. They have a Valterra hose that will arrive this afternoon. I can always return it if I need to.

 

Our Camco hoses fits this Valtera secondary dump valve.

 

I just ordered a Valterra hose since we head out tomorrow. I didn't want to wait until I get home to verify what I have. I know I have a Camco set from my old trailer along with one other hose but I have no idea what that one is. I just noticed last night when I was replacing the crappy camera with a better one that I have a Valterra drain.

We took the pop up to Barnwell Mountain in Northeast Texas to go wheeling and froze our Butts OFF!!!!

It's Hard As Hell to get on the place!!
You get put on a list and you have to wait until someone gives up their spot or dies. To make matters worse the people who get off their lease generally will pass their spot off to a relative.
Not to mention the guy who runs the place has to like you.
I told him I was up there all the time as a guest with my Buddy so ya might as well make a buck off me.
He saw the wisdom in that and okayed me.

Recently removed the top bunk from my 2025 Coachmen Apex Nano 208. Thought I was being ingenious and solving the problem of having two unusable bunks, and creating a second roomy sleeping space in the camper that people would actually want to use. Went online and found this is a very common mod.
