Was hunting for a new '25 Tundra and using the online inventory finder (very excellent imo)
I was able to find a Platinum, Lunar Rock, w/ OE 3" lift kit, AND power running boards / bed step.
No TRD Package. I may be wrong but I don't think you can get the power running board option with the TRD Package. Seems anything I found with the TRD pkg had regular steps or no steps.

So this dealer build, not having the TRD Package, has the power steps that I'll use several times a day and maintains the tall look of the truck vs steps that hang down... at the cost of not having "crawl mode", a rear locking dif (which I've never needed), upgraded shocks and control arms (redundant since the 3" kit replaces), decals, a shift knob, red stripe steering wheel, and a red push to start button. Some cool stuff but my preference would be the OE power steps.
I contacted the dealer and left a deposit before the truck was delivered to their lot.

Anyone else own one with the port installed OE 3" lift and OE power steps? Did I find a unicorn?

depends on the region, some options are allowed or not allowed with different configs.

in my region, on my 23 plat, i had to get hud if i bought the avs, now you get hud as a stand alone config and i also had to get auto running boards with avs. didnt care for them since winters up here i always see auto boards frozen.

surprisingly, the auto boards have not once frozen to the tundra.

I got the same truck, built the same way from the Factory and Port (SET). The only difference is the color (MGM).

After two previous TRD Off Road Tundras, I was looking for the same in this one, but the TRD Lift, the Auto Running Boards and the HUD won the battle. I was in the same boat, the TRD components will be replaced by the Lift, leaving the Locking diff out, but I don't have a day-to-day use for it.

After almost a month with it, I love it. I don't regret the decision.

If the lifts were truly factory installed, there would be NO for lights...Hard to tell in the first Tundra, looks like maybe fogs.... basing on that, the lift could be Port installed (where the may keep the fogs) ...Last I checked when trying to build a new Tundra (2024), you cannot have the factory power steps AND the factory lift. That was basing on my region of southern Oregon. I ended up getting the TRD lift put on by my dealer, so I have a platinum as well with the 3" TRD lift AND the power steps! I love the look, not having bulking steps in the way....It makes it look lifted ever more!! HAHA

You are correct. It is a port installed lift kit and they removed the fog lights ... but I added a pair from Rigid.
Looks like Jacques also has aftermarket fogs.
Apparently they do not install the 3" lift kit option at the actual factory (and never have to my knowledge).
The 3" lift option was on the window sticker before the dealer took delivery ... and dealers can't seem to get just the lift kit now.

Yup, Baja Designs version of the fogs for Tundra.

I skipped on the OEM auto hide running boards, they don't sit flush to the bottom of the cab/rear door.

Sorry op don't look at it, you will stare at it forever, it's nice and flush to the driver door then angles outwards and is not flush to the rear doors

For the price of those, f that bullshit that their mounting brackets/location suck big juevos and you can't get it flush

My friend has that exact same truck, same colors, factory 3” lift, and power running boards. It’s a 2024.

It's not a "unicorn". The TRD 3-inch Suspension Lift Kit has always been available with Power Running Boards & Bed Step. It is region specific at times, but nothing unicorn about this build at all.

The TRD Off-Road Package and Power Running Boards & Bed Step is another story.

They've only be available together on the 2024 1794 Limited Edition.

Makes sense. When I had a 2018 TRD PRO 4Runner brand new, It had a weird rattling in the left front suspension...The Tech that fixed it, told me that all PRO's are made in Japan with standard 4Runner suspension, and the TRD PRO lift/suspension is port installed in the States! He then showed me a pic on his phone of a HUGE dumpster filled with brand 4Runner suspension take offs...

Yeah, I lucked into the 3" Lift through my dealer (installed last month), they had a kit in stock and only charged me $3900 total.... I also bought a 10/100mile Toyota Platinum warranty through Jerrie @ Midwest Toyota for $1550, which covers the lift as well!!

As for the steps, on my 2023 Platinum, it was around $1300 I believe for them, to add them after the fact is easily $2200!

Indeed .... I already have the Lunar vinyl and I will be attempting to wrap the mustache myself.
Much cheaper than paint or an overlay and hopefully will hold up better.

I do see what you mean. I attribute it more to a curve in the body vs the step angling out.
It won't bother me but I could see how it could be offensive to some Toyota owners (which tend to have higher standards than most).

Fun fact of the day: there is no such thing as a factory installed option on any Toyota. They are either installed at port or by the dealer. The Toyota manufacturing process does not allow for any variance or customization at the factory level. You get what you get and you don't get upset.

Also fun fact for anyone who cares: the OEM power boards are white label dual motor Amp Research power steps.

FWIW - you don't get the red stripe steering wheel with the TRD Off Road package, it's only on the Pro. You don't get different control arms either, but you do get Bilstein shocks.

Take a picture and I'll point it out, the bracket has no adjustment if you dare to look

See op post 18, nice and flush front door, now going towards back door, you can see black shadow gaping running towards the back and the silver step is protruding way more than in front.

Just bad bracket,/mounting locations I don't really think the rear cab door/frame is curved, doors would be ridiculous to fit lol

btw: OP nice truck, good rim combo, i usually dont like machined/black but for some reason with the lunar rock - looks great

    Thank you.
I stressed long and hard about the wheel selection and after seeing them on the truck I have no regrets. Was considering black but decided on something with a little more flavor. Slightly bronze but not too bronze for the win. Tire choice was easy, BFG KO2.

I don't think that is the case, example, the 3" TRD lift, thats factory installed, not port or dealer on a new truck.

also, the running boards have a single motor per side, so not sure that's right either

Not a fan of Lezbo green aka Lunar rock, but on your truck build it does look pretty good. Going back to the comment made on regional options, my first truck in college was a 2000 Toyota Tacoma SST single cab truck with the 2.4L I4, 5-speed manual 2WD. I paid $12,000 out the door for this truck. It had a 5-speed manual, a lift, and some pretty nice tires for its time. It had some striping on the side of the truck too. Now, you could only get this package (Tacoma SST) in Florida. That was it.

Here in Texas they have a Texas edition and a TSS model (Toyota Super Sport) and I see them all over here in Texas, but I do a decent amount of travel around the US and I've never seen a TSS Tundra anywhere else. Out in Utah you see TRD-Off-Road Tundra's all over. In Texas, that model is fairly rare.

Not bad looking set up. I hate the front end of the 3rd gen Tundra but it does not look too bad on your set up. How is the ride with those 20 inch wheels?
