I take my vitamins all at once, from a cup, with a gulp of water.

This time though, something went into my lungs, pretty sure of it.

Choked and feel a bit off......

    So, will I die?

No way you would literally inhale a vitamin or a couple into your airway and not know for certain. Trachea then up maybe but not a legit aspiration

    Is WebMD free?

    *Edit*

Just tried it.....not sure but looks like I have to register. Not worth that amount of frustration. Besides, probably going to die here in a few anyway.....

It’ll get covered in mucous, become an irritant (if it wasn’t already?) and you’ll cough it out.

Edit: (or the horror story below will happen to you)

Here is what AI had to say if that helps.

If you suspect you may have accidentally inhaled a pill into your lung, seek immediate medical attention as this is considered a medical emergency and could lead to serious complications like lung inflammation or infection; this is called "aspiration" and requires prompt evaluation and potential treatment with a bronchoscopy to remove the pill from your airway.
    Symptoms to watch for:
    • Sudden coughing fit
    • Difficulty breathing
    • Chest pain
    • Wheezing
    • Feeling of choking or something stuck in your throat
    • Unusual sensation in your chest

I've only had the first symptom which ended in a few seconds. Water came back up.

Kinda, sorta have the last system? Maybe???

Not having health insurance puts the brakes on doctor or ER visits when one isn't sure (don't have a family doctor either).

    Thanks KNABORES..... :)

I read a story about a guy that inhaled a fir tree seed unbeknownst to him. They found it in his lung after he started coughing up blood. It had sprouted a tiny fir tree already. They removed it with bronchoscopy. See, it could be worse.

If I start coughing up blood I'll (probably) see someone.

I've coughed up blood before and I didn't see anyone then. That was 1998.

I have seen similar threads on other, large general discussion forums. It seems there are very educated and experienced people on this site.....that's why I asked here plus I thought it'd be a fun thread.

I may go to the gym tonight......that might give me some sort of feedback.

I literally took care of a patient that had inhaled a piece of Chex mix and didn't do anything about it. I don't remember the time frame exactly, but eventually he wound up having that part of his lung removed. Call your Dr. today.
