Having second thoughts on 2018 Sport

So I have my deposit down and delivery for when the '18 Sport comes out. But in reading more details (this being my first Tundra), I'm having some second thoughts. My following list of dilemmas:

    1. I want a sunroof
    2. Wife likes heated seats
    3. Wife really would rather have dual climate control
Seems as if the Sport cuts a lot of the "luxuries".

I'm just merely talking out loud. Feel free to set me straight, you intelligent and dedicated folks.

    Edit:
I forgot to add that I'm now thinking of getting a Platinum instead

The regret is what I want to avoid. Having the TRD sport seemed "cool", but I'm starting to think I can add "Sport" and off road things to it after, if I have the money and desire. I can't simply add dual climate and heated seats.

Those are the exact reasons I ended up with a Limited....wanted a sunroof and can't be without heated seats here in West Yellowstone.....winters get downright cold at times.

I'm in Hawaii, which doesn't seem like the place to need heated seats. But the wife...I'd rather pay extra to keep her happy

Right, I edited my post. I meant to put that I'm now thinking of getting the Platinum (that cross stitching design tho...)

A little of this and a little of that.
I agree with what others have said, if you get something you’re not sure about, especially dropping that kind of coin, you’ll be less than happy after driving it off the lot. Especially if your wife is like mine. She’d remind me everytime she got in it that I made a mistake, lol.

Get the Limited or the Platinum. I kind of like the cross stitching on the Platinums, just my .02

Exact reasons I got a Limited and not a TRD Pro. And we love the sunroof, heated seats and dual climate control. I think the Sport just has a good scoop, different grille, and sway bar package. All very easy and somewhat modest change outs from a Limited.

This sounds stupid, but the damn embedded "TRD PRO" on the back is what got my attention to the Pros to begin with. I thought the new Sport would have it embedded, since they skipped the Pro for 2018.

Can't comment on that. That's probably a @Roman question. I am betting it is just a sticker though, like the Tacoma and Tundra TRD Off Road package like I have.

Leather too. With kids, dogs and overall being a slobs, leather is necessary for my family and me. Does the Sport have leather?

The more I read about peoples wives the more I wonder if I'm even wife material:rofl:
My thing is...if it's not MY vehicle that is going to be MY daily driver my wants shouldn't really matter....it should be to whomever is the main owner/operator of the vehicle. I guess I'm weird....or wired wrong....who knows.

Do what you think is best @htw_hawaii and what will ultimately make you happy:D

I really like my pro, dont get me wrong... but if I could do it again, I'd get a platinum and upgrade it with pro features. I do miss all the luxuries I grew acustomed to in my old trucks.

Yup - This is one reason i didn't want a pro... i wanted climate & seat heat - if the sport is similarly equipped to the pro, it's easier to make it look how you want it to than it is to make it function how you want it.

My wife defers to me, and I defer to her - we genuinely like to make each other happy. And if making my wife happy means me having to suffer with a sunroof, heated seats, climate control, leather seats in a new Tundra, a martyr I am...

I understand genuinely wanting to make each other happy I have no issue with that, in fact I applaud that... Like I said I must be a different breed because when it comes to you things the other individual once I'm not going to make my wants for a vehicle they are ultimately buying for themselves part of them choosing a vehicle... But that's just me

When I first got mine I was on the fence about the diamond pleating. So much so I was considering swapping the dash panel with another member. I moved away from that thinking pretty soon after many compliments from other people. One year later I'm glad I kept it :)

You are definitely a super duper wife material and that quality is impossible to find.

if it's not MY vehicle, forget vehicle. If it's not MY belonging and I don't care to use it then it shouldn't really matter, like you said....

The above statement doesn't exist in woman's dictionary....
