I would wager most major corporations have funnelled money to dumb or causes others would find offensive.

Ford foundation gave a bunch of money to defund the police foundations. I mean a lot of bad guys have taken a ride in a crown vic, explorer or f150.

So I get not spending your money with a company you don't agree with, whether it's politics, racist or just down right wrong.

I'm a millennial. Trust me, I know all about generalizing. I've be blamed by association for all sorts of stuff by those older than me even though I agree with the gen x and boomers on stuff more often than not.

I don't have to yell at clouds. I understood at an early age what was happening and prepared accordingly. I'm actually quite thankful and happy for where I am.

 

I'm not sure it's shitposting. Just hashing things out. I don't believe anyone outside Gen-X really understands and appreciates what Gen-X knows and understands, though. It seems it's easier to generalize.

Edit: I believe it makes some people feel better and reinforces a certain mentality that they're comfortable with. I get that and can appreciate the urge to do so. Anyone who wants to accept that way of thinking has to be disregarded, though, IMHO. That way of thinking is too simplistic and is just a way of making themselves feel better about things.

I wish we could go back to a time where everyone's politics weren't being broadcast and used as a dividing line to such a degree as they are today. Would be nice to go into a store and buy something without having to consider the societal implications it will have on my freedoms and way of life and just choose the product I like the most or best fits my needs.

The older I get, the more I just flat out don't want to know or even hear about what anyone's politics are.
