EV's & Tundra's

I love everything but the full width rear light bar, it's too much imo. Not a deal breaker but it reminds me of a dated design that many manufacturers have used.

 

It's to tie into the CT, though.

They could of just left it with the matching front light bar

 

Reminds me of the Saturn SC2 I had, like this one.

 

You're not wrong that it's been used by many, but so has two separate taillights, so...

It is hard to tell in the photos but the rear light bar shines down on the Tesla word mark versus shining back. It's different than the other light bar examples shown. It is a pretty nice evolution of the MY. The ambient lighting inside like the M3 is cool and I like the added rear screen since it is a great family vehicle.

 

Oh yeah, I see that now. Sweet!

 

Brother preach it! My brother owns a Tesla Model S and it is nice but for the price...eff that. He even has some buyers remorse because the range is absolute ass. 400 miles....if you have a 2020 you should be getting 480-500 city and over 600 on a full tank via the highway. The best I have done in my 2021 is 650'ish miles before I filled up and still had 2 1/2 gallons left.

EV's are for people that hate their money and their time.

 

A seasoned AAA insurance rep pulled me aside to tell me that I should have a policy with insurance company A that covers the older, unused minivan and 2 teen driver vehicles, and a second policy with insurance company B with the other cars. Having teen drivers on the same policy will always increase the cost of the other cars even if they never drive them, per insurance company software/underwriting. The only way to eliminate that is to separate vehicles under different insurers.

 

I tried that very thing with my two teenage drivers and Geico would not do it. They would not insure the vehicles unless the main driver was over 18 years old. So, with four drivers in my house I pay just under $700 a month. It's going up another $48 a month thanks to according to Geico, "significant increase of immigrant drivers without insurance in your area". Thanks Joe!

The MXp that we own now is the 2nd best.

it's DAMN cheap when you put it next to it's competitors.


my 2020 does get 600 on a tank, but I'm a wee bit smarter (and S/C'd) than to ride past the fuel light. I refill @ ~20 gallons.


EV's are for people that understand EV's.

One of the adult driven vehicles gets bundled with the kids. So in my scenario, the minivan is otherwise the lowest cost vehicle to insure, and it gets bumped up in cost being bundled with the two kids cars. The other adult cars are on a separate policy with just the adult drivers, but with a different insurer.

 

That's one step in the right direction.

 

And the MSM won't report it because he voted wrong...
