Wanted DD 8” resonator

Looking for 8” bam resonator. I live in Camarillo.

Are you looking for a hemholtz resonator for drone?
You can also build one/have one made. 2 in exhaust tube about 25-26 inches long. Or just contact Keith @dirtydeeds.

 

Curious if OP is looking for just the resonator or a full 8" system from DD. I have my unused DD resonator listed on OfferUp for $150 and live about a couple hours away in the IE.

Yes just resonator. I have the exhaust and never put my resonator in. I decided truck too loud for me and can’t find my resonator. I might end up switching to 10” if resonator doesn’t quiet it enough. By the way thanks for the quick replies. Been awhile since I been on here. Now I remember what I like about this site.AZboat hauler what’s up ? You helped me out a few times before.

 

Glad you’re back - consider driving out to Sedona in April if camping and hitting some world class dirt trails with a some Toyota degenerates sounds appealing!


The resonator definitely helps with the drone noise at speed while cruising.

 

I've had 8, 10, and 12 inch Bams all with the rez.
The 10 with the resonator is truly the sweet spot...

 

No way lol. 8" with no resonator and a couple of JL subs pounding some AC/DC.

 

I ran the 8 for 4 or 5 years but as I got older I wanted to tame it down a little.
I can't imagine running any of them without the resonator..

 

I'm 51....doesn't bother me at all lol.

 

I have the 8” with resonator on. I’ll be putting my oem muffler back on.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I have decided to change to a 10” or possibly go back to stock exhaust. I just finished new stereo system and now I’m trying to make truck quieter. Gonna also change from mudders to all terrain. By the way I have front and back sway bars if anyone wants them they can pick up in Somis ca. Love this truck have never had a issue. Pro comp 6” lift awesome never had any issues after 3 years. Bought a 2020 f150 4x4 v8 work truck with 70k. What a pile. It’s fast but that’s it. Tranny clunks and it burns 1qt oil every 1500 miles. Checked online and seems this is common problem with coyote f150s. Anyways thanks for help guys.

 

Not sure what all your audio install involved.
Sound deadening the back wall and floor of my 2014 DC helped a bit.
The 10" BAM is nice, but I can't see running it without the resonator.

Just installed the 8” Dirty Deeds. Became real fun when one of the stock bolts snapped and we had to completely drill it out. But got it installed and going. Got the resonator but did not install. Going to drive it around a few to see if I want it. What is going to the be the big difference with putting it on versus not? The overall sound?

 

I never installed the resonator on my DD so I don't really know exactly how this drone sound is supposed to sound like to know the difference with or without. I've driven my truck without the resonator for a lil over a year now, even on a roundtrip CA to TX and it hasn't really bothered me.
I probably will never install mine.

 

Never installed! Bolt still in package! Installed the 6" DIRTY DEEDS and decided I didn't want to drill so if your interested in the resonator let me know I can ship!

 

Socal guys- if you have the resonator still for sale, i'll buy it. I live in Encinitas. I need it before a camping trip next week.
