When I use automatic climate control it will always engage the dashboard vents after a few miles of driving without any further input from me. Is there anyway of stopping this? It gets to be annoying.

You can change it. Just hit the "MODE" button and cycle through the various fan output modes.

I thought I tried that. I'll have to pay closer attention next time.

If that doesn't work you have an issue with your MODE button.

That being said, if your truck has the "AUTO" button (located in the center of the left temperature selector knob), I'd recommend just setting it to auto, selecting your desired temperature and leaving it alone.

Auto mode will run the blower after the truck shuts off to keep moisture from settling in the condenser, and it'll use the AC system to remove moisture during the winter months when the heater is on to minimize window fogging.

More broadly auto mode will cycle where the air is coming out of to keep the whole cab close to your desired temperature/setpoint

That really gets me thinking because I seldom use the "auto" mode button and it occasionally smells musty in the cab. At first I thought it was a leaking heater core but the inside floor mattress never got wet.
