I need power running boards for my new Platinum off-road with 3 inch Lift. Searching the threads it looks like Amp X-treme is what I want vs their regular style without the dual motor on each side. Anyone here bought either and do you recommend. Also does it matter what store you buy it from?

I live in California so harsh weather wouldn't impact operating conditions much.

Making a purchase soon, any feedback is appreciated.

After talking to AMP representative, I ordered the XL series that hang down an extra 4 inches. That will help with the 3" lift

Forget them GO RHINO is the way to go they are built like a tank supports 300+ pounds easily and are lighted to see at night and can be made to turn off if need to get close to body exterior.

I am 5' 10" and have the standard AMP step. When getting out of the truck they are almost a little too low for my taste but I still love them. For me the extra 4 inches would be too low for exiting the vehicle. Just a little something to think about.

Can anyone tell me how far from the ground the step is for your specific truck. Looking to get one that hangs pretty low. Wife has MD and can’t use a step higher 7 inches and that’s pushing it. Thanks in advance.

I would vote for the Amp Xtreme with dual motors.
I have the OE 3" lift and 35's with the OE power steps.
They are the perfect drop. The Amp XL would be way too low imo.
