I cannot for the life of me find where to order an oem LBJ LH assembly for my 2004 DC 4wd tundra. If anyone can help or point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it

Start with your dealers online portal, then check other dealers.

    Put this into Google.
    43340-39595
Though I would replace them in pairs.
43330-39825 is the right hand one.

That should give you several dealers. Ignore Amazon. Of course, verify the part with the dealer.

ETA Don't forget to ask them for the bolts too. 4 per LBJ. Also ask if it comes with a replacement castle nut and cotter pin (Mine did with those part numbers)

I don't keep track in my head (no more room), I just run my VIN at Ourisman (or wherever). My Truck is from 08/2004, so many of the parts I buy are on one side of a change or another.

It's odd...I changed my LBJs in 2020 (one of the first things I did when I got my truck). I can only find the McGeorge order for the RH side (which was indeed 43330-39825. I have no record of having bought the LH side (although I'm sure I did). Actually, now that the coffee is kicking in I recall getting the recall kit with both sides. I'll have to dig through the shoe box of paper receipts <sigh>

I just went through this (and GOT THROUGH IT because of the helpful guys on this forum). The video someone linked on page 1 of my thread is how I learned how to do the work).

LBJ's from Ourisman Toyota of Richmond. I called them to be sure of the parts numbers their online page provided but the numbers were correct.

I bought the same puller kit from Zoro.com as shown in my Page 1's video.

HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE A LIFT AND THE RIGHT POWER TOOLS. I did it with 1/2 drive hand tools (torque wrench also) with the truck up on wooden blocks in my backyard in November. I would not do that again! WEAR SAFETY GLASSES. Rust flew off and hit me in the face a couple of times but I wear eye protection like mad. (Having learned the hard way to do so.....rust in my good eye, under a truck in a junkyard, by myself, 1999).

Correct indeed, not only for LBJ's but other things also :(

which is where the 14mm and 17mm come into play.

The part that holds the upper ball joint at its top, and is bolted to the LBJ at bottom? That's the "spindle" aka "knuckle".

Technically knuckle. Our trucks have hubs rather than spindles.

I use both terms typically, some of the younger folks don’t seem to understand one, but understand the other.
