Clearly. I was trying to understand your post. Where it reads CC permit required tx has the check, CO doesn't. So I wrongly assumed that meant you need a permit to CC. We do as well even though your graphic dosent show that. But we don't need a CC permit to open carry. So yeah you're right in I don't know jack shit about TX gun laws, but it's not like I can't get anything i want here.

We can also talk about taxes as well. That should cover the big three.

    guns
    Liquor
    Taxes

It's not about just one of these hot button issues but how our state governs us in all things. Sure, you have less gun laws but what did you pay in real estate taxes last year?

We had a Green Flash brewery here for a short while. I was talking to a manager and he said Sam Adams defines what craft beer is. I guess that's part of the mafia culture.

The mafia is no conspiracy, it is alive and well. The difference is the context. To your point, you can stock whatever your heart contends to. But the Brewer to Distributor relationship is an absolute mafia situation and growing stronger. Upcoming changes will reduce more small businesses and grow larger main characters. It will also directly impact places like grocery stores and gas stations more and more as it already has.

Also, the limit on production for microbrews is what makes it special. It is also what makes the "sellout" rhetoric so entertaining. The only way to grow is to exceed microbrew levels and sell out so you can get larger distribution. But then you loose your control. Like Yuengling now being brewed outside of PA to allow for larger distribution. Of course, their pallets are trash so we like it when it comes from the other facilities.

The direct to consumer pour is the last independent foothold and I hope it keeps for a long time.

This is one reason I left Texas. I loved my time there, minus the ex wife. Both these states have pretty decent gun laws. Florida has much better liquor laws. But then again, so does just about every state other than Texas or.. Utah.

And taxes... Thank God for my move to Florida on that one. Went from over 8k a year to less than 2 on a larger note.

And is it ever really a conversation if all of ATF doesnt find its way in?

    LOL...

And whoever called out ciders... Damn... i miss a good cider! Texas has those well done. So does CO. Florida... not so much.

You never know how many are coming in that door, and I not talking about the feds.
How many rounds in you AR/AK, 15 is just getting started..

Sure is nice to be able to buy and sell a firearm with no paperwork linking it to me.
They have no idea what I own.
    Freedom..

Besides that, you break federal law every time you burn one or take a gummy.
I don't agree with it, but I am law abiding..

Enjoy your state, I don't want to get too political, you don't have a chance in that department..

Rumor is if you get a med card here, you lose the right to renew you CCL. Nope, Im good.

And yeah, I loved how I bought and sold thus far. Its shame I lost it all in a kayak accident. But its all irrelevant as there is no tracking.

I love that freedom. that and I like my unpinned mags. My EDC is a 12 rounder. Thats plenty especially with the spare mag. But I like that we can buy drums and have fun without recourse.

There are things I don't like about all my governments, that we can agree on.

Edit: But in the meantime I'll keep shooting off my mouth more than any guns. Which brings me to my last question that nobody ever asks. How many people have you had to shoot and did any gun laws ever stop you from doings so? We hype the need because it's our right. I can jive with that. But in my life time I have only ever come close to shooting anyone. And that was in Mogadishu not the US.

Catching up and realizing I like AZ. Open or CC without a permit, no mag size limit, recreational weed for anyone over 21, any type of liquor 7 days a week at any store including grocery stores.

So in Colorado who has admittedly more strict gun laws.

We can still smoke the devils grass without a med card

    We can still open carry

we can still keep our CC even if we do smoke and drink because our other laws are less strict.

Strict is often times like IPA.

    A perception.

Written in broken thought for you @nobodyintexas because you are dragging us all back into the IPA pissing contest.

    AGAIN.

    Thank you for your service.
That has nothing to do with your state firearm laws, and you know it.

Keep on thinking you live in a free state.

I can't buy liquor on Sundays or grocery stores any day.
The thugs would just walk out the door with liquor if they sold in grocery stores anyway..
But I can go to a bar and get shitfaced any ay of the week and then drive home..

I don't care, we don't drink liquor anyway..

It has nothing to do with any state firearm laws. It's the dilemma of the idea that oneself can't use a gun for protection. How often do we need to protect ourselves with a gun is the question. Never in the US is my answer. As it is for many gun owners. Furthermore, the few gun laws that CO has passed don't take away my ability to protect myself anyhow.

Freedom? Now we all now that nobody is free nor has absolute freedom if we get down to the nitty gritty.

I’d like less regs here. The magazine laws aren’t really enforced from what I can tell.

The free state part though, people seem to feel free to come here and have a good time, and then the residents have to deal with sales tax and the visitor impacts, and the pot sales help with that and more, so that’s nice.

Y'all have a couple of things wrong about gun rights. 2A isn't to give us any rights. It presumes we have them naturally, and restricts the government from making any laws about it. That ensures we can fight a tyrannical government.

We actually agree on a lot, at least from what I can recall reading of yours.

That said, my preferred level of involvement from the guberment is 0%. Hold our borders, maintain our roads, fuck off. I dont need you in my home, yard, ride to work, work, and sure as shit finances past income... and even that I have an issue with. I am pro flat tax, or whatever the new word is for it. Sales tax for goods, covers income from any level. fuck off and stop touching my pay check just to have your hand out again at a register....

now, on to your question. Thankfully you already know the answer and more importantly, you are experienced enough to know what works for me may not apply to you. One thing I hate is the argument about.. "well, i did 'x' and nothing happened so it is good." no fucknut, we all react different to said input, so it isnt the same. ok, rant over on that...

Twice. One time I was lucky and cops came quick enough that I didnt need to finish the scenario. Once I broke my own rule and show of force saved my life. I was heavily outnumbered and shooting was probably going to get me killed. But once they knew I was armed, it deescalated and I was able to leave the environment. Fucking LA, and I dont mean Cali.

That said, stateside has been rhetoric and keyboards outside of those two scenarios. Also, gun laws have only directed my actions and not directly saved/hindered me. Understanding, I mostly follow the law. I have carried where I wasnt supposed to and took that risk. to this day, I am thankful I have never needed to pull the trigger on anything other than food or a target. I hope I never need to. I will joke about a stateside kill because I like dark humor. I pray to God I never get one and never have a need to. Same for my friends and family. and for everyone on this site as well.

my great uncle was shot and killed over a wallet with less than 10$ in it. I never met him because of Detroit and its history. My father, RIP, had to carry and break a few laws to live as long as he did. I pray I never need to go into the line of work he did to provide for my family like he did. Lots of words, but yeah.... If we could do without them I would be ok with that. Unfortunately, its to deep in the culture and off the books to ever go to a baseline of zero.
