Not sure if he was in that movie.
That dude is Antonio Fargas, better known to us old folk as Huggy Bear from Starsky and Hutch..

Never watched starsky and hutch but I did recognize him and recalled him playing a pimp in a movie at some point. After you gave me his name the pimp was confirmed to be in I'm gonna git you sucka not Pootie Tang. Thanks.

I had an Oldsmobile we called the boat, I think it was a 68. My dad picked it up from my grandpa for a couple hundred bucks. It was sun faded and beat up, but it ran. Grandpa had replaced the parcel shelf covering with some white shag carpet that the sun of course destroyed. Every time you rolled the windows down it looked like it was snowing in the car.

I hated the LTD while I owned it, but I wish I had it back now. It had a 351 Windsor (the shitty 351), but a guy down the street from us had a '77 with a 460 and 12" wide tires tucked fully under the fenders. Quite a sleeper. It was a boat, but 3 in the front and 4 in the back - or me and a girl - fit comfortably...

We also had a 70s Ford van with the 460. It looked like it had a lift but was 2wd. One bench seat at the very back, no seatbelts and an aftermarket rear A/C unit bolted to the interior wall that kind of worked, sometimes. I hauled many kegs and pallets for bonfires at desert parties.

My buddy and I dropped that same motor in his cougar. Even for the shitty version it had some balls when we'd cruise/race Longmont Main Street back in the day.

Growing up we had a 71 Ford Torino station wagon.
It had 351 Cleveland motor in it.
When Dad sold it 10 years later the buyer only wanted the motor..

All those 70 and 80's Big 3 vehicles is where I learned how to wrench on cars. There was always something like a starter, alt, etc. to replace on a regular basis. Then I got my first Toyota truck, 84 4X4 with the 22R and all my wrenching switched from fixing to adding mods, lift kits, bed bars, lights, etc.

In the early 1980s I had an inherited 1968 Buick Electra 225 with absolutely perfect interior cloth seats - you could not destroy those seats, truly made to last. Mechanically it had issues and drank the old 19 cent per gallon gas. I am six feet tall. I could lie down on the back seat and not touch either door. It too was called the boat.

Not necessarily related to winter but the wife and I have been staying up late since just before Christmas.

The 351M had a longer stroke than the 351C and was not much worse than the Windsor compared to the 351C.

The 351M only came with a 2 barrel offering which didn't help.

All the 70's smog engines were dogs. The 302 had less than 130 horses. Heck, a 74 Chevy 454 had less than 240 horses.

    The 400 CI V8 in my dad's 74 Firebird made a whopping 190 hp. :D

He still liked it better than his 80 Firebird.

My dad had a white ‘69 Plymouth station wagon and like a lot of folks sold it about ten years later with the gas prices. I remember him coming home with this Renault which was a huge POS mistake.

When I bought my ‘13 Sequoia, he was giving me shit about the gas mileage, and I reminded him of his own gas guzzler and poor reliability choices. Through the looking glass, LOL
