I'm eyeing this to replace the stock halogen turn bulb especially with 20% coupon:

    https://www.vleds.com/shop-application/turn-signals-front/7440/v6-extreme-amber-drl-7440.html

These are amber turn signals and also daytime running lights in amber when DRL is active. Can also set them to remain on at parking light level when headlights are active by tapping into low beam 12v.

Wondering if anyone has experience installing these on 2.5 gen Tundra (I have a 2021 TRD Pro so the LED Headlights).

What I'm stuck on before deciding to order:
    1. Why does this LED need a fuse slot? Does it need more power than the default circuit the stock halogen light bulb is on? This doesn't seem like a normal install.
    2. I asked VLED support how to figure out what fuse to get it with, they said look for A/C, heater, or stereo fuse as these are only on when "key is on". Seems odd to put lights onto same fuse as any of these three. Anybody install these and if so what fuse did you use?

You have a DRL. Why would you want your blinker bulb ran as a DRL too? That’s the only reason for the added fuse

    Thanks for the explanation.

I'd prefer the blinker bulb as DRL because I'd favor the amber for the visibility/contrast.
