Tundras to Sedona - 2025

I think everyone has just been in the midst of holiday chaos.

We are approaching prime #tee2essprep time.

I think this is the first year I’m going I don’t have a big project I’m trying to finish right before the event. Mixed feelings about that…

 

I flagged this as a bucket list item years ago when I saw the annual thread for it. This year I may actually make it happen. In preparation, during my own holiday chaos, I read every post of every T2S thread I could find. I learned a lot of invaluable info, like bring sturdy lawn chairs, catch the shackle of shame with your hands and not your dick, it isn’t possible to bring too much alcohol, and the 1GT camp should be approached with proper caution. Also saw some possibly useful ancillary info mentioned in passing, like what radio to buy, how many blankets to pack, and that my truck should be able to manage as many trails as I have time for. I have a lot to do to get ready, but I feel appropriately briefed.

That would be cool - but I’m not sure @TRDFerguson is ready to take me in full time yet in the event I’m not awarded the house in the divorce.

 

You should definitely go. I made the drive from TN in 2023 and it was definitely worth it.

Retired life.... My med appointments are usually Mondays or Thursdays. I had an appointment today....

 

almost pulled that one out instead...great minds be thinking alike.

 

Just discovered I may be in the area hiking the Grand Canyon during this time frame. Got all pumped up about maybe swinging by and then realized that TTS is not near Sedona. It's 4 hours away?? Dangit.

 

if youre on the south rim its only like 90 minutes to where t2s camp usually is

Are you confusing last year's Tundras to Sedona: Parker Edition with this year's venue? We'll be somewhere between Sedona and Flagstaff along I-17. In past years, we've used Schnebly Hill as base camp, near Munds Park just north of Sedona. We are finalizing this year's camping spot with the forestry service and should hopefully have an announcement soon...ish.

 

I’m a Toyota/boat/off-road enthusiast - but that doesn’t pay the bills.
