I want a mirror display for a OEM handle handle cam I am going to buy. I was going to replace the Head unit but the radio I have works great and I have an extended warrenty for 2 years on all the electronics and don't want to void that by messing with a radio replacement. I just want to put the cam in the tailgate handle and the mirror display in the cab, plug into the prewired connectors (I want to use OEM as much as I can) and be done with it. Has anyone bought this kit lately?

It seems expensive but I don't want a Amazon piece of crap.

That seems really expensive, a couple of years ago I bought a cmos camera for a 2013 Corolla For less than $20 and the resolution was fantastic. If you have the factory radio and your truck was not equipped with the camera feature, sometimes this function have to be enabled by the dealer.. But the rearview camera does make life easier

I've also been looking at adding a backup camera along with a pop-n-lock. So far, none of the Amazon offerings will work with the lock system. That tells me there's some big differences in design, and probably quality. The price on this one is higher than the knock-offs, but I'm keeping the link for consideration. I'd rather pay a little more now and get something that will last.

That is what I was thinking. Get something that will last. I just want a plug and play. I don't want to splice wire at the tail light and who knows how to get power to the display. OEM may be worth the extra $$$$

When I replaced my head unit, the wiring kit came with a plug and play that converted the factory harness to rca for the factory cam then you can just run this to your mirror, as far as power to the mirror goes tap into the reverse light fuse, these things are very low power consumption or use a relay. Do you want the mirror to be on while you drive or just during backing up?

I also want but can’t find is a display that I can set on the dash and run a cable around the window and it the overhead and plug into the OEM plug the mirror plugs into. For the life of me I can’t find anywhere on the internet on how to do this.

I saw your link talked about that but I don't think the tundras are wired that way since the rear view camera is design to work with the head unit..maybe higher builds might come with a electronic. Mirror..thereforefore you might have to get the conversion plug and run rca and power cable up the pillars to power the mirror.
