Building a list of things I want to do to my new-to-me Tundra Platinum. Will be 90% on pavement, not sure if I’ll ever fool with a lift; I love the look but am still getting educated. Came with AT tires on black Fuel wheels that I like and will keep. Most of these ideas came from the forum…here’s what I have, what am I missing?

    Rear sway bar
    Under rear seat storage
    Window tint front windows
TRD caps for current Fuel wheels
    TRD shifter knob
Remote start (if I never figure out the built in factory remote start)
    Bed extender
    Pedal monster
    Body color door handles
Kilmat for in doors when replacing handles

    Maybe:
    Front sway bar
    JBL amp, sub
    Otto cast - wireless CarPlay
    Vled interior lights

Purchased my new-to-me 2020 Tundra with 40,000 miles last February. Here's what I've worked on to date.

There's a known / common issue with coolant leaks around the heat exchanger under the intake manifold. This randomly occurs across various model year Tundras and is an expensive repair. Rented a coolant system pressure tester from Advanced Auto last week and attempted to pressurize the radiator to 15 PSI. The pressure immediately dropped to 10 PSI. Truck is currently at the dealer. Attempting to get this repaired via the 5 year / 60,000 mile power train warranty which is set to expire May 2025.

    1. Front facing camera and FRAC harness (this was by far one of the best additions, no more having to get out of the truck to see if I need to pull up further into parking spaces or closer to the wall in front of my house.
    2. Genuine Cooling Systems transmission cooler (The 2018 Tundra was the last year to include a transmission cooler)
    3. Miller Cat Shield (I travel into areas where cats have been known to get stolen)
    4. Hard tonneau cover (from Toyota)
    5. Bed mat (from Toyota)
    6. Running boards (from Toyota)
    7. Replaced most of the interior and exterior non LED bulbs with LEDs (Ensure you buy the cargo LED bulbs from VLED else you'll have problems with RF signals from cheaper style cargo LEDs interfering with the antenna on the roof and your remote key FOB)
    8. Replaced front sway bar with TRD version
    9. Rear sway bar TRD version
    10. Door trim guards (from Toyota)
    11. Power tailgate lock (from Toyota)
    12. Bed step (from Toyota)
    13. Added driver side grab handle (from Toyota though considered a mod)
    14. Replaced fog lights with Dynamic Diodes (There's a known / common issue with OEM and aftermarket fog lights bouncing around while driving. Check Youtube for tips on how to tighten up the fog lights and associated brackets)
    15. Fitcamx front and rear dashcam
    16. Headlights and fog lights covered with XPEL paint protection film (Provides UV protection to help prevent headlights from yellowing or becoming cloudy)
    17. Driver and passenger window tint
    18. Rusted out fuel door spring (Known / common issue. Replaced with a stainless fuel door spring available on E-bay. To check, look up under the truck at the fuel door spring located under the fuel door housing. See Youtube for instructions on how to replace.)

Check out Dirty Deeds stainless exhaust.

If you like music, you must replace the sound system.

Depending on your needs, checkout the Diamondback bed covers+crossbin.

Any concerns about catalytic converter theft, get a protective plate.

I recently upgraded my fogs to Baja Designs Squadron SAE, and I'm really pleased with the better output and crappy weather visibility.

You have a great start on your list. Have fun!!

Drive it through the seasons you experience where you live. Build your wish list on the things you find yourself saying "man it would be nice if the tundra had this... or that..." Hop on here and you can probably find someone that's done it. Otherwise, being a 2020 platinum, you've got a pretty nice truck. Enjoy it.

How about knocking out all recommended maintenance first:

    - PVC valve
    - Trans fluid (drain and fill)
    - Transfer case fluid (drain and fill)
    - Front Diff Fluid (drain and fill)
    - Rear diff Fluid (drain and fill)
    - Brake fluid (replace)
    - Coolant (flush)
    - Oil change (+new oil & air filters)

For peace of mind, I think it's worth the $350 or so that these will cost to ensure your rig is totally up to speed on all the recommended maintenance

Desert does it seat jackers! Huge improvement in comfort. Once you sit in a truck that has them you will wonder how you did without.
