how deep is the average bite? Yall taking an inch or more?a 5-6 inch dog lasts me damn near 10 bites; no homo, but i like to savor the chicken lips & goat ankles. Lately i buy all beef or all pork, bit i teach a masterclass on public doggery at all HOA functions.

I'd just hit up Summit Racing and get an electronic kit that comes complete with the sender. Worst case you might need a bushing to change the size.

he’s hiding behind the excuse of needing a pressure gauge, but really wanting to mount a gt25 turbo, and needing a pressure tap. Thats my plan. I want 4-6psi, at all times. & the whistle noises are basically free.

Had some leftover crusty panettone someone gifted us. Mad a bread pudding with caramel sea salt chips. This is why I gain weight during the holidays.

Erik, I honestly can't remember exactly how I sealed my water pump, but, if it only came with a gasket, I would only use a gasket torqued-to-spec and forget about it.

Noah, the factory gauges are not finely-calibrated instruments; basically idiot-lights. These engines idle with very low pressure (probably ~ 8 psi, maybe slightly higher), which is totally acceptable. I believe people get deceived by the difference between pressure and volume. Even while running, there's not a lot of pressure required to lubricate properly. If it brings you peace-of-mind (which can be appreciated), I would do as @Festerw said. Summit Racing can hook you up. Otherwise, I would just send it and not worry about it absent any other symptoms or running issues.

Put another way, Toyota wouldn't have supplied a gasket if they intended FIPG to be used. Make sense?

They supply a gasket for the 3rd memeber……. But most people use fipg……..
this also falls into the category of: a little is good; a lot is better?
When I do my wp I’m doing gasket and a light shmear of fipg on both sides

Sure, I can understand the urge to go above-and-beyond, but, if failure occurs, it can't reasonably be blamed on Toyota. That's assumed risk.

Is it just me, or are there a lot of redundant threads on common issues? Lol! I've owned my truck for nearly 4 yrs and don't believe I've ever started a thread. Is the search function really that fucking difficult, or do people just want spoon-fed?

Crunchy onions are fine, you just need to dice em real fine. Sauteed onions are fine too.
    Ketchup however is for kids.

I love a simple mustard dog.
Cheese, onions, dill relish, sour kraut, and/or chili are a bonus. Any variation on those is fine with me, but I'm not picky, I'd eat a hot dog with ketchup, I just wouldn't enjoy it as much.

Noah (and any other interested party), my point is that the signal you receive from the dash guage is not going to make you aware of any impending failure any quicker than any other symptoms. If Toyota spec is not met, you'll know it just as quickly as if you had no gauge.

His name is Pablo, and he is as sure-footed and steady a horse a rider could want. Very intelligent, but strong-willed. So long as he knows who is in-charge, he'll take you anywhere, anytime. A fantastic horse and confidence-inspiring. A beautiful specimen, for sure. I love him.

This is true enough I suppose, but the last time I pulled the stick on the car it was running sorta crunchy and I topped the oil up. It was 3 quarts low, and only holds 4.4 quarts.

I just want a visual and pressure is the only reasonable way I can think of to do that.

The dash does not have an oil pressure guage on the cluster

Hahahahah classic!!!! I’ve definitely dumped 5qts into a work van after checking the oil; with each bottle added, it had the hype and excitement of spinning the wheel on the price is right!

Or at the very least a red led that tells you oil pressure is too low. Last time I rode without a working fuel pressure gauge, I blew a rod through the engine block. That was fun.
