We lost power here in our corner of Oregon for about a day and a half. Not a big deal because the temperatures were low enough to keep the freezer’s cool but not snowy.

Things have been good but busy. My son is growing with every nap... he is belly laughing now, it is ridiculous but we love it. Nerding out with the home stuff and just received some samples in on my apparel. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I look forward to catching up soon!

He is such a blessing. I see how people get suckered in to more kids now... he is amazing and brings us a lot of joy. We focus on things like that captured moment, when he is not sleeping well or fussing like last night.

The town near us, Bastrop, has a lighted riverwalk thingy for the holidays. We went out there last night and this lady was walking her cat on a leash. The cat was super cool and friendly. When we were leaving I saw her holding the cat and the cat was petting the ladies face. I thought "Wow, cats are great!"

Then I come home to our cat plotting my murder.

 

This intrigues me...



Their energy drinks are more like lightly flavored sparkling water so I'm wondering if this will actually taste like a Jolt or a watered down version of it...

 

Pretty much the only one I drink anymore... I just can't do carbonation like I used to.

The first night I spent at my now GF’s house, I woke in the middle of the night to find her cat sitting on top of the bookcase headboard looking down at me just like that. It has taken roughly 4 years of cat treat bribery for her to only “randomly” look at me like a target of opportunity.

 

We had a cat that was so stupid that it would look at himself like that in the mirror every day. Wondering who was that other cat. He would sit down and stare at a closed door for hours waiting for it to magically open. The other cat in the house was a really smart female who would constantly set traps for the male. When he fell asleep, she’d slip up on him and smack his head and disappear around the corner before he could figure out what woke him up

When we first got the mirrored nightstands our dog Maverick did the same thing.
He still does it at times..

ours just never ceases to amaze us with what he considers to be a "comfortable" position to sleep in.

 

The Cat we used to have did stupid shit like that.
