Hold that wrench on good n tight. Put a jack under the other end and crank it.

 

You want a 6 pt box end wrench with a pipe extension if you don’t want to buy a wobble impact socket. The ratcheting box wrench only has so much torque before you break it and it isn’t much, certainly not over 100 ft lbs.

 

Also, hold one end of the box wrench over the bolt with your hand as you don’t want it to slip and mangle the bolt given your “mangling” reputation.

 

What everyone else said, and if you have concerns, use thread lock (blue), then mark your bolt head positions when done, and check in 100, 500, 1,000 miles. Then revert to check every oil change.

Oh and one other warning. When you get to the passenger side, you're going to have this fun little surprise waiting for you *IF* you're replacing the UCA. Be prepared, you can crack the bracket shown if you're not careful. Someone on here told me a tip after-the-fact on how to pop it off that reaaaally would've helped, but I managed to finagle it.

I prefer chili with no beans, but I ain't gonna cry and refuse to eat because it has beans. I'll eat bean soup too, but I prefer it to have a little bacon or pan sausage or both.

 

They also make special box wrench extensions. I haven’t tried one but they look decent.

Also, you can use another box wrench as an extender, that’s probably the easiest option.

 

Can anyone think of a reason why I shouldn’t leave my oem rear shocks on after I install new leafs and add a leaf while I wait for new shocks? It’ll be fine, right? For a few weeks.

Anyway Oldest kid stopped eating chix/pork/beef/lamb/goat. Fish, seafood, eggs, no problem. I sometimes break meals out with different proteins, but always do one meal a week with no meat. Tonight was the night.

I make my chile usually more like something Oaxacan, almost like a rich mole, but without the cocoa/chocolate. Usually lots of guajillo, ancho, chiles in adobe, and misc other stuff. Hefty splash of Bufalo chipotle. A spoonful of peanut butter. Sometimes molasses. It's good, rich, hearty.

My wife makes 2 different kinds of chili. My Granny's recipe with meat and then her familys Indiana recipe thats chili + spaghetti noodles. I was pretty unprepared for the first chili night at their house and very confused at what I was seeing.

I prefer my grannys recipe, but chili with spaghetti noodles isn't bad either.

 

I typically prefer thick-ground sirloin in mine, and like to cook it in a heaping spoon of bacon render. Or if I have time to simmer low and slow, sirloin tips. I've never seen chili with spaghetti, but I've had my fair share of chili-mac over the years. But, like, legit chili-mac, not Hamburger Helper, which I probably ate 1-2 times per week when I was younger because it was easy on time, and easier on the pocketbook, parents were pretty strapped for cash bitd.

 

Ever had white chili?

 

Yeah I just need them to last two weeks or so til my 5160s get here. I guess those things are few and far between - I ordered them 6 or 8 weeks ago. Thought about running with no shocks til then but that’ll be fun for about a mile til I smash a couple discs in my back going over potholes.

We use Wolf Brand Chili. Hormel is good for chili dogs.
