Hey all! Getting ready for my first mods soon, and think I've decided on the Westcott Offroad level for my sport (the Sport one may really tax the stock struts due to it being 3in vs 2in for the off-road) but am curious if the quoted price for a local shop I like is inline?

$600 install for just the front, then $125 for the alignment. Sound normal?

Is the kit I'm looking at. Also open to better or different kits, but for clarity I am leveling the 2024 Tundra Sport, which the front end sits lower on, stock.

Is this from a dealership or what type of shop?

Cost isn't terrible. For reference, they have to fully remove your shock body, disassemble (remove the coil over), and the Wescott collars, reassemble the shock body, and then reinstall. So there is a lot to it.

Depending on your region and what type of warranty is associated with the alignment, the costs vary. Some are sub 100 and other places push 200. I know the last time I asked my local dealership quoted 180 for an alignment. I went elsewhere and paid 100. But for 20 bucks more, I'd have the folks doing the work align it then and there and also this keeps everything under one roof so you can't have the install blame the aligner or the aligner blame the installer if you have issues later on.

Small shop that specializes in Overlanding, lifts, etc. I haven't called/asked the dealership, but am curious if I'm better off/less likely to have warranty issues to have them do it?

Go with whomever has the better reputation and you trust to fix any issues if they arise.

With tools I don't see how it takes longer than that.
