Does anyone know how to turn off the annoying option that turns on the front camera and keeps lowering the volume when driving in traffic?

I've searched through all the settings and cannot find a way to disable it?
It is driving me insane.. I've had it in for 3 years now and just cant take it anymore.. When you spend a lot of time in bumper to bumper traffic this is enough to drive someone mad.

    Any help appreciated here! :)

    2019 Tundra if that helps.

I know exactly what you mean, I thought that was a cool feature at first then it just started to annoy me.

I wouldn't have minded so much if it didn't kill/cancel anything else I happened to be doing when the cam came on.

In the process of fixing another issue I was having I did manage to turn it off on my DMX1057 but I have no idea how I did it so I can't be of much help.

There is something about "Camera Interrupt" in the Maestro setting but it didn't seem to do anything when I was playing with it.

I can tell you the guys at iDatalink/Maestro are SUPER helpful and cool.

Thanks SD Surfer, I called them and the person told me to check the Maestro settings on the head unit under camera, low speed trigger and I was able to disable it. Tested it and it worked! Thanks again!

Outstanding!! Love it when this place works like that... Someone has a problem, asks a question of the group, gets an answer or suggestion, and then BAM! Problem solved.

So I don't know how you set up your steering wheel controls, but I programmed one of my "Press n' Hold" buttons to activate the front camera and it works out very well.

I did the "UP' arrow button since it sorta' points to the front, just like the front cam. So anytime I want the camera I don't even have to take my hand off the wheel.

Glad that worked for ya'... the Maestro guys are really nice. Canadians

I tried setting the camera function as well on the steering wheel, but for some reason it never worked. I don't really care to be honest though, the number of times I manually turn on my front cam is very low.

I agree with your first comment, where the community comes together to solve problems. I also find it very important for the original poster, to come back and conclude on the resolution so that when future searches are done, people can have more confidence in the outcome for the problem they are troubleshooting. Too many posts are left hanging, at least from my experience. Thanks again!
