When installed, I'd like to know if the brackets affect the rear seatbelts where they poke up through the rear seat, and also if the gap is acceptable between the top of the rear seat and back of the cab.

I was searching for some info on box sizes with these brackets and found this, I'm the one you mentioned in your post haha. I keep looking at those brackets on my shelf and different subwoofer options.... just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I did add a front sub in the passenger footwell that has worked really well! Two Arc A12's out back and the A10 up front.

Just installed my Gately brackets a couple weeks ago. If you’re really familiar with the factory space in the rear of the cab, you will notice the difference in seat height and forward shift. Still tons of room though. I’m 6’2” and my knees aren’t very close to the driver seat when it’s all the way back. Still plenty of head room also.

There is a larger gap behind the headrests, but it doesn’t look awkward or out of place. Seatbelts still fit fine. The center seatbelt is a little snug to get fit back into place, but totally usable. My daughter just used it today and didn’t even notice a difference.

Biggest thing you’ll probably notice is that you can see the brackets when you open the door from outside. If that will bug you, I’d recommend painting them black before install.

They add a shit ton of space behind the seat. A box in the 3 cu. ft. range should be achievable with a bottom depth in the 9” range. Game changer.

That’s good to hear. Thank you for the feedback. Please keep us informed when you install a box. Box specs and sub recommendations.
I’m getting ready to start working on suspension but will circle back to this very soon.
I’m also about to put some si m3 in the dash and m25 in the sail panels and retune.

I will take some pictures next week but I'm putting in an Audiomobile Encore 15 back there. Box with double 3/4 front baffle and bracing should net me around 2.6 CF of airspace!

That should 100% be doable, as long as you have enough mounting depth for that driver. I’m not familiar with that model.

But, you can certainly carve some notches in the face of that double baffle for the seat metal thingies to get even more depth than I have.

I hope it will fit. Mounting depth is fine but, with a 15 inch sub it may have clearance issues due to the overall size of the magnet. I hope you get it to fit. If it fits, I may try 2 of them sealed.

Already mentioned above, I’m sure it can be done with some thoughtfully placed notches. A single 12 in a 2ft box was silly easy with no notches, and it’s not even close to full width. A box close to 3ft is within reach.

And there is still plenty of room for 6’ passengers in the back seat…

do you know what the box dimensions are. This could become a popular box and sub.

    Ok
I am going to try 3 ten inch subs with the gatley brackets.
Parts express is having a sale on the Dayton Audio UM-10-22 ultimax sub.
Fs on the sub is 31.9hz xmas of 19mm

On average a 15 inch sub will have around 176 inches of cone area.
three 10's should have around 235 inches of cone area.

I should be able to get the size needed for the box and still be able to get the tuning hz desired.

are you planning a ported box or sealed? I thought about 3 bm11s but after changing amps and having to make some changes to the dsp I realized the dsp had neutered the bm12s bottom end. I have more than enough now. I need to mess with it and redo the tune to get the bass back up on the dash but keep the low end this time. First world problems.
let us know how that works out.

I still may buy an audomobile 15 and do what Kiser did.
He actually too first place in a sq event with that 15 in his truck.

After talking with Dayton and having them run the numbers ported will work well.

They do you just have to call them and he will hook you up. They normally sell them as a package but will sell just the brackets by themselves.
