AND...while I was under the truck, I used my new M12 bandfile to grind off the rivet heads on the two spare tire "guide" brackets and then pried them off. Now I can shoehorn that 295/70R18 spare tire in there with just a little bit more clearance for the coachbuilder shackles (not much though)

I’m super curious about the ride with those 8112 and 8100’s coming from the oem fox shocks. I’m looking at doing the same setup.

Withholding all judgement on how they ride until the alignment is done. Right now it’s impossible to focus on anything but the steering wheel while driving it because it’s so far out… :eek2:

She’s under self-quarantine, yes. She’s hanging at her boyfriend’s today (it was a year ago this evening). She might venture out during the day tomorrow to her great aunt’s gathering (where I’ll also be).

Please report back with what high and low speed adjustments you end up with. I’m taking off my Pro Fox stuff and putting on same 8112-8100(non bypass rears).

OK - for real - here's the finished stance.
    IMG_3244.jpg

    Here are the measurements:
BEFORE (~1/2 tank of gas) - TRD Pro Fox shocks, Westcott lift up front; rear was factory leaf springs, CB +2 shackles, and RAS helper springs
    Front Driver - 24"
    Front Passenger - 24.25"
    Rear Driver - 24.375"
    Rear Passenger - 24.5"

AFTER (~1/2 tank of gas) - Bilstein 8112 & Icon Billet UCA's up front; Bilstein 8100, Icon RXT Leaf Pack (Option 1), and CB +2 shackles in the back
    Front Driver - 24.25"
    Front Passenger - 24.5"
    Rear Driver - 25.5"
    Rear Passenger - 25.75"

That's about perfect for me, as I think these trucks look best with just a touch of rake in them.

I've got a C4 Baja bumper on order that will probably drop the front just a touch (but I've already got the SSO Stealth bumper that is also solid steel). I'm leaning toward pulling the front sway bar when I tear things open to install that, so all-told the net difference won't be that much.

Added a Voltage Booster Pro to bump up the charging output to the AGM battery.

That meant pulling the entire power distribution system apart to get to the fuse box, so I worked on cleaning things up a little while I was in there. I've got more work and cleanup to do in there, so everything went back in the way it was for now...and I forgot to get a picture afterwards.
    IMG_3255.jpg

    IMG_3249.jpg

    IMG_3248.jpg

EDIT 3/23/25 - I pulled open the fuse box to swap out my fog light fuse today, and while I was in there I dropped the voltage booster to the lower setting. It was running over 14.5V on the high setting and that just seemed a bit excessive...

Next up today was the HVAC Blower Fan Upgrade
I specifically ordered part number 87103-60560

It's a quick swap - if you know the trick to pulling the lower panel under the passenger dash (I've gotten very good at it over the years).
The three screws that hold in the blower are an odd "torx-ish" shape, but are also hex head that come out with an 8mm nut driver.
    IMG_3247.jpg

The orientation of the connector for the blower power is slightly different, but it's the same connector and there's enough slack in the wire to make it fit.
No picture of it installed, but here are the original and the new brushless motor side by side (original on the left). The squirrel cage is the same height on each, but the motor body is taller on the original so it looks taller on the table.

And the big one today was the Heated Steering Wheel (from the most deceivingly named thread possible)

This one took a bit more time than I was expecting, but it was mostly because I was working on sorting out exactly where I wanted the switch and was doing a little cleanup as well.
First, I had an issue that when the unit arrived, the clockspring retainer was not in place. So I had to work out exactly how to time/center the clockspring correctly. The answer from the seller is here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/gCig3m_0IX0

Then, after installing the clockspring the first time, I realized I had an extra connector that was not connected - you have to migrate the steering wheel angle/position sensor over to the new clockspring (it unclips from the back of the original and clips into the back of the new one, but make sure you don't move the tabs that line up with slots in the clockspring when you do it).

The blue/black unit on the left is the position sensor on the OEM clockspring. You can see the right hand (new) one does not have that piece.
    IMG_3250.jpg

Here the sensor has been relocated to the new clockspring:
    IMG_3251.jpg

Then get it all mounted back up:
    IMG_3252.jpg

And route the wiring for the new heater down along the original wiring harness and over to the fuse box.
    IMG_3253.jpg

Then it was time to get it all hooked up.
I used the "Power Outlet No. 2" fuse slot for the heater, which is powered by ACC and will shut off when the truck is off.
    IMG_3254.jpg

I ultimately moved my tow mirror "reverse light" switch to my center console by making up an extension cable for it.
    IMG_3256.jpg

And that gave me a spot to put the heater switch just to the left of the steering column.
    IMG_3262.jpg

    IMG_3261.jpg
It was raining like hell and about 40 degrees when I finished up and drove home, and having that heated wheel was so nice!

Almost 89,000 miles on the Wildpeaks right now, and I'm not up to the wear bars yet.
Not looking forward to the replacement cost, but I'm about to pull the trigger. If it was summer, I'd keep running them, but with winter here and needing to get up to the mountain I need some new tread.

Thats just crazy!!! I ran into a guy a few years ago that swore he had 70k on his and they still had plenty of life in them. Thats part of the reason I went with them too. Awesome tires!

If you don't plan to put a winch in that you expect to use. I know of another of these hybrid bumpers that will be available Feb/March that will be driving distance from you

Yeah, the specific model Casey has will be on my truck as soon as I can convince the wife how much she needs a winch and more forward lighting; and it doesn't matter that I'm also getting a 3-camera BlackVue system, 4.88 gears, an Icom radio, an amp, and possibly a new head unit. But then she laughs and gives me a look.:pout:
