Well being a redskins / commanders fan for 50 years has been a roller coaster. The first 18 years of my life the team was VERY good…..I witnessed the three Super Bowl wins and ignited my fandom. Then the wheels fell off and the franchise wallowed in mediocrity (at best) for 30+ years. I don’t care that this team beat Philly without their starting qb. The way that this game started and how poorly they were playing was a recipe to lose by 30 points….and it IS a game we would have lost by 30 in years past.

Daniels is special - you see how much fun he has playing the game and you also see the competitive drive in him to be great. He is ALWAYS smiling on the field. Poised beyond his years and talented as shit. I thought this was a 5 win team to start the year…..boy was I wrong. People can pick apart the schedule all they want and say “they haven’t beat anyone” or “the only team they beat with a winning record was the eagles and they lost hurts in the first quarter”. Damn all that - you can only playbook is on your schedule. It is an exciting time to be a fan……especially if they can get approval for the new stadium at RFK site. And mclaurin is my favorite player - reminds me a lot of art monk the way he approaches and respects the game. There is A LOT to be excited for with this team and I actually look forward to Sundays again

Of course Houston is playing like Houston.

 

KC are the new Patriots. NFL gotta make sure the popular team makes bank. There were a couple plays where there should have been calls against KC and the officials clearly chose not to make them.

That's coming from a KC sorta fan.

 

At least they called some holding on TJ.
Still, Steelers got blown out. Looks like another one and done playoff season.

 

And won’t even be the patriots fault this year.

Houston is getting SPANKED!

I would not be surprised if they start looking for some new coaching staff!!

I am surprised this coach has lasted so long, he did make us think he brought the team together but they have drifted again!

 

Ryans would be hired in a New York second to any of the other jobs that are open. He is a GREAT coach. They have already clinched a playoff spot so this game in the grand scheme of things is relatively meaningless. I like their team and think they’re a few draft picks / free agency signings away of being a real contender.

 

Houston's next game is against one of the worst teams,,, HA!! The Titans are like 3/12 or some such nonsense. When it comes down to these games i do not know why they play them. On paper the Titans do not stand a chance even playing Houston! I would not be surprised one bit if Houston chokes and loses that one too. HA!!!

 

6-3 for Seattle?? Wow!

 

A real sleeper! Now Seattle puts all their hopes in other teams to squeak into the playoffs.

I kinda feel sorry for the Chicago QB. The Bears appear to be the new Browns as far as ruining 1st round draft picks.
The announcers were refreshingly truthful about Bear's management and coaching.

 

@ZappBrannigan Not really, leaving their playoff future in the hands of a bunch of teams for tie-breakers.

Given how they have played over the last 5 or 6 games, I am surprised that they are even talking about playoffs! The Rams have to lose 2 more games for this to work out for Seattle.

I have a feeling the wildcard game that Seattle might play will be hard to watch!

 

A true tale of who sucks the least.

 

Hopefully Arizona smokes the Rams like they did earlier this season. That'll set up a great week 18 game for Seattle/LA

 

That’s just it. Even if the moons align and they make the playoffs they aren’t going anywhere and nobody wants to watch them get blown out in the first round. Plus, as you already mentioned there’s all that anxiety of waiting for all the other teams to “do their part” so the math works out. None of that is even fun in my opinion.

 

Looks like Chargers clinched the #6 spot in playoffs ... your turn Broncos!

 

For fans, these are the type of games for a potential ER visit.

Loss of competition integrity rears its ugly head at the end of season. There’s no incentive for KC against DEN and won’t play to win the game.

 

Some players want their bonuses. Could be some action in the first half to meet those.
