I'm just being a smart-ass. It's probably worth jumping on at that price.

It's actually been, uhhh, I think my bellcranks were my last order. Usually I get a discount code sent to me when it's been a few months since my last order. Ya know kind of like a little bump.

My dad gifted me an air compressor for Christmas. I am pretty stoked to get it all set up and to use it.

I’m getting a cheap little harbus freightimus 3 in. LED light, wondering what to do with it. Extra backup light mounted under the bumper? Switched ditch light? I’m inclined to the reverse light option….

    How many gallon tank?

I sold off all mine except the pancake. It used to be (and still is, to a lesser degree) you could get air/impact tools really cheap, way cheaper than electrics, and they were more effective. Like, spend all your money on a nice compressor with substantial tank then drop a couple hundo buying all the tools you need, regular impact, butterfly impact, cutoff, air chisel, etc. and you were set to conquer the world, as long as you had hoses long enough.

Ultimately the price of air tools has gone up, and the price of electric came down once we got past the 12v-15v battery range on cordless stuff and now you can get full suites of cordless tools that are actually substantial quality for less than a full air setup. When that happened and we landed in the 18v range, I got rid of my 30gal and 10gal after buying my yellow-brand 18v which I shipped to @chrisb (miss you dude) a couple years back because it needed batteries and I bought a replacement for roughly the same cost as batteries and a charger.

Anyway, the manual is probably online. Big thing to know is how to adjust the pressure output using the compressor’s dial. Most compressors have two gauges, one for tank pressure, one for output pressure, and a dial of some sort to adjust the output pressure. Know where you need to oil, if oil is required. Know when/how to drain/purge the tank, to avoid water buildup and rusting out from the inside.

It's nothing crazy. It's a 2 gallon Kobalt compressor and it is oil free. I didn't take it out of the box yet as I got home late and have to work today. I plan on getting it all out tonight it check it out.

i got a new phone so i can have satellite texting in case polo or i get into trouble while way out, but i've gotta trade in my old phone with 9k pics & a dozen or so apps. Not sure i'm happy about it. I really wanted to go back to samsung. The apple koolaid sucks, but the noise cancelling airpods are pretty cool. Dunno. Probably means i'll get a new account until i can find my laptop & sign into my email again. What should my new name be?

my tiny oilless compressor started needing oil after a few years. Still cool enough for a metal connecting rod, but its a plastic piston with metal rings. I had to break the case to get it open, but she's still choochin' after 14 years. Rode hard & put up wet.

Ah, so also a pancake. Super handy to have around! It's the one thing I can't get rid of, but I've also got a gaggle of staplers/nailers I use. Narrow crown, brad, trim, etc.

I just reset my PW recently and had an issue where the new PW code wouldn't send to my email. I tried twice and only received a email confirmation that the new PW email was sent but not the actual email. Then about 10 minutes later both new PW emails came through at the same time.

Keep it in mind when you do get it all set up again.

OK, I just got told a joke I believe is funny af.

Indian Chief, “Two Eagles,” was asked by a white government official, “You have observed the white man for 90 years. You’ve seen his wars and his technological advances. You’ve seen his progress, and the damage he’s done.”

    The Chief nodded in agreement.

The official continued, “Considering all these events, in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?”

The Chief stared at the government official for over a minute and then calmly replied. “When white man find land, Indians running it. No taxes, No debt, Plenty buffalo, Plenty beaver, Clean Water; Women did all the work at camp, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; All night [making love to wife.]”

Then the chief leaned back and smiled. “Only white man dumb enough to think he can improve system like that."

A man offers you a hot dog at a particular price. You are free to choose to say yes or no to his offer. That is capitalism. Anything beyond that is not capitalism, but rather something else.

The problem is when all the other hot dog sellers are basically at the same price, which is hyper-inflated far beyond its real-world value, but you have little other choice for anything to eat, so it's pay up or starve. Or go buy eggs, but those are also hyperinflated. Thankfully, the market for young children is good, and you've got one you don't necessarily like, so you can sell that one off, and buy a year's supply of hot dogs and eggs with the proceeds.
