good to know, Im just going to start with the NIMH and see how it goes, that way he can just do it himself, etc much less risk. I think with two 5,000 mah he should have decent run time

but that's really good to know that works if we want to upgrade later.

I got a few extra output diff things as I read thats what breaks on these and they were cheap with the coupon.

Im not expecting miracles here for 80 bucks, but I bet this truck will be nice all things considered.

    on another note,

I got this for me last march, to have something to run around with my son, its pretty damn good for how much I paid as I got a good discount on it

only setback is the batteries are small, run time is kinda low, 1,600 mah lipos

the battery tray is super small, doesnt take the longer ones you see mostly.

I changed out the shock oil for grins and it helped after our trips to MN where we ran them a lot in gravel etc.

It's great for that! I did strip the diff after a year, but that was with my kids going full reverse them slamming it forwards. It's gone through some abuse and handled it well. For the price, I've been very happy.

Any good recommendations for $100 or less? I broke all my fathers growing up and ready to get him one to replace. Mostly on the street.

PSA: follow the charging instructions. Overcharged, swollen, and has zero output. Luckily it didn't rupture

    Using a
USB charger plugged into the truck, for whatever reason it didn't stop charging like usual. Could've been real ugly
More bummed out that I drove almost an hour to this great lil pile of rocks, then didn't even get to play

These 1/10 trucks are huge lol
It sure did, he was like look at the size of those tires lol

I have to admit it’s bigger in person when you get it lol, he ripped it around outside and in the house now.

it’s decently fast for how big it is, just wish it had lights , but it’s great so far those 5000 mah batteries fit just fine , i ordered the new adapter

Don’t feel bad. Ordered shocks for my son and I’s trx4m’s a month ago as Christmas presents. Didn’t think to order shock oil for them until I opened them this morning. Doh!

What tire foams are y'all running on your crawlers? I don't think I'm getting the most out of my tires because I'm running the injora foams that came with them and they're not squishing like they should.

    I gotta air down.

$7 for the foams and a "run your rig, not your mouth" decal... Friggin sweet!! Do you run any weights? I can't tell if wheel hex or the rings would be more effective.

Frexy Friday with the K5. After adding the brass it's by far my favorite scale rig. The K5 is a class 2 build (street class) but I'm thinking about a chassis swap and making an outlaw (class 3) out of it.

Just wanted to give a heads up. The sale on the fcx18 Hummer is still running. $120 instead of the usual $150

    Awwwwwww, what the heck???
    LMAO!!!!!:) HA

    color me curious!

We have been having a Winter for the books. I do not remember having weather like we have had. Nice days and the evenings have not been real bad at all.
I have been out running the motorcycle and if I miss a couple days it takes a few minutes to get the feel of things. It is definitely something different than the 4 wheel vehicles. I have still not put it up to 100% yet, a tech I was talking too said it is dang fast at 100%. We have a mess of sub divisions going up all over when I get decent at operating this I will take it to the dirt with the Traxxas and have some fun. :)
