Legit Parts Website?

Has anyone used Toyota Parts Online Depot? They have a part that all the dealer sites show as discontinued, so I am skeptical. I’m looking for the interior front left door handle on a 2006 double cab in dark gray. Part number 74220-0C011-B3 Any input appreciated, thank you

 

Toyota Parts Online Depot is Cochrane Toyota in Canada.

At this point, even if you order the charcoal grey ("B3" in the part), you're going to get beige parts. It's "discontinued" because they're only making beige parts now. You can try ordering from them, no doubt. Maybe they still have inventory up in Canada. Sadly, as much as I tell people NEVER order "OEM" parts on scAmazon and fleaBay, it may be the only way to get this part in the correct color, through channels which may have it in stock.

But before I ordered from Canada, I'd try www.Partsouq.com or www.Amayama.com which are legit sources, one in the middle east, the other in Japan.

 

Great, thank you for input. I’ve checked Partsouq.com already. I’ll keep hunting and try calling Cochrane Toyota directly. I’m hoping to replace and not repair.

I’m all ears if anyone else has suggestions.

 

Maybe look on FB Market place for Gen 1's being parted out?
I had never done Facebook, and only joined it in the last month as I wanted some running boards. There seem to be several FGT's being parted out. Usually they show a picture of the inside so you can see what trim color it has. If I wanted interior parts, I'd at least give it a look.

 

In a pinch, Dorman's part is decent quality.

I have two I ordered for my access cab in charcoal grey when I realized Toyota was phasing out colored parts.

And just to check, are you 100% sure your part numbers are correct? Did you look up your part using the sticky partfinder thread in this forum that directs you to the EPC-DATA website which picks parts by your VIN#? My parts here are technically for my access cab but I'm curious if they're compatible with your double cab.

 

Thank you Fragman and shifty. I’m 99% sure about the part number. As I research more on Dorman and look at your part numbers, I realize I should have called what I’m looking for the “door armrest” and not called it the handle.

The Toyota dealer provided the part number from my VIN. When I look it up on the ETC-DATA site, I locate it on the schematic but it won’t provide the full part number or active link. Presumably because it’s not available? But still, the 74220 prefix matches the part number I was provided. And other sites also match the part number when searched. So I’m 99% confident in its accuracy. That part number again was 74220-0C011-B3. I’ll attach some screenshots.

Regarding the Dorman parts, have you been happy with quality? I see some other parts on their website of interest, such as headlight assembly and exterior side door mirror assembly.

 

At the EPC website, you see how it has the words “FIG 14-3”? That should be a link directly to the correct diagram containing the part numbers you need. Give it a shot.

Dorman quality is generally pretty solid. But I DO NOT recommend buying light housing from them. Have you seen the new owner sticky thread? It contains our collective knowledge on lighting. Housing wise… You want to buy CAPA certified housings, some brands that are usually pretty good are DEPO, TYC, Eagle Eyes, and one other not coming to mind right now. Supposedly the Akkon housings are solid but not CAPA certified. I don’t recommend buying on scAmazon or fleaBay, authenticity is a problem on both platforms.

The armrest piece. Someone else on here bought for double cab. The OEM quality was less than impressive, and supplies were low back then. He beefed his up. I wish I could remember who it was. Siebler? I feel like it was a west coast member, or PAC NW. I can find it later, you probably want to read his post experience before you order new. Or again hit a JY and buy used.

 

I’ve used Cochrane a few times, with no issues or problems. However, Canadian Toyota parts suppliers commonly show obscure parts as available when they are not. Best move: email and ask if the parts are available. Most are quick to reply.

Fedtime, what you said about Cochrane was spot on. I talked to them today and they do not have the part that shows available online.

it should pull different dealerships that have it available and you can compare from one site.

I just did this for my alternator lol

I saved about $100 ordering from Ourisman instead of any of the other dealerships.
