Good morning everyone. Big day ahead.

    1) Go to local Greek restaurant and get four pounds of meat and pitas.

Keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Not sure how I'm going to accomplish this task.

Love all the Pinion Pine. Building a road on that sandy silt crap isn't easy.

Are you going to put a base down like ground asphalt?

Those pinions next to the new road are the tiny ones. My property is part of an old grove. Several are more than 18" in diameter. A couple over 24". Haven't decided on ground asphalt. Not used much at all if any in my neck of the woods it seems. I'm going to keep a close watch though. There may be additional galvanized culverts besides the 2' X 24' at the entrance. Total overkill, but what the county code said to use. My contractor used to work for the county as a code enforcer and said 24' is total overkill but doing it anyways.

I would rather have overkill. Having a washed out road is never cool or fun when you need to get in or out.

The rough cut road looks pretty good. When you're done with construction just get a blade in there to cut side drains and start a crown. Then run over it with a box blade.

Man your grandson is getting big!

My contractor is going to do all that. The main thing first is to get the road in. He still has a couple hundred feet to go 90 degrees in to where a sizeable building pad will be cleared by the big pinions. Going to have him put in a septic for "just in case". Will raise my property value considerably by simply having that septic already in place.

I figured. You don't want to make a nice road into a property until all the work is done.

Having the septic and perc test done will in fact raise the property value a lot.

You're not down in alamosa now are you? I've received a few calls today from down there and you would be the only person I know that has a place down there.
