Seatbelt rattle

Not being fresh here, but I'm looking for ideas on how to secure my seatbelts so they stop rattling when not in use. Trying to think outside the box so they are easily deployable but also stop making all that wracket!

 

Mine make a ton of noise if I roll down the windows they all start flappin’ all over. I’m with yuo.

 

I thought I was the only weirdo who noticed it. It drives me nutts.

 

I've been thinking of putting some felt where they are making contact.

 

Mine rattle also after my kids get out. My 2nd Gen has a little bar that the belt tucks under. If they don't tuck it in, they rattle.

 

Maybe some sticky Velcro behind the clip? My luck the clip would bounce around where I put the felt

 

I really wish they threw those in the 3rd gen. My 2012 had them.

I think those are the ones Rowdy Ron was referring to, so it sounds like the 3rd gen double cabs have them at least.

NOpe, I’m a weirdo too!!! I hate when they start flapping after my daughter and friends get out. I’ve got to stop the truck , get out, and fix it before any more driving.

I was going to suggest that for the front passenger side also. Just buckle it when not in use.

 

May have to go that route. At this point I'll use bread ties to stop the noise.

 

Another idea............sew a patch of the soft (loop) side of the velcro onto the seatbelt strap and use 3m tape or sticky the rough (hook) side to the pillar.

 

A simple solution. I must be stupid to have not thought of this already. LOL!

Every time anyone gets out of the back seat I say fix your seat belt please. It’s became second nature, and my kids are all “ WE KNOW”.

I put the metal part in that slot...both sides all windows down no rattle only rattle is middle belt on my CM

 

See how it holds up.

 

Edit: I moved the Velcro under that hard plastic circle so the seatbelt will stretch across my body now.

 

That was fast.
I would have put the soft part on the belt itself since thats the area you and your clothes will come in contact with. The hook part is all scratchy.
