If you have gun insurance, who do you have it through? I've been looking at Delta Shield and they look legit, but I'd be interested to know if anyone's used them/has them and what their experience has been in a claim/general customer service.

    Much ass grassy ass.

I have USCCA, fortunately I have never had to use them

I have a separate flood fire theft policy with my homeowners insurance covering my guns themselves

Unfortunately all my guns were lost in a boating accident before mandatory lost/stolen laws were implemented thus making insurance (documenting what I don’t have anymore) without purpose.

I let USCCA go after they cancelled a user's policy. I forget his name but he shot a Youtuber he thought was trying to rob him. (There is a video the Youtuber shot of the event, happened in an airport). Frankly it wasn't a "good shoot" as pepper spray was what was called for but CRAP he paid them money and they just cut him off like that?

They called me twice to convince me to keep the policy, and when I brought up their cancellation of the victim, each operator gave me a different story ("oh he forgot he had a policy with us" and "he didn't want our attorney, he WANTED a public defender.") Ya right, sure, he just forgot that $400 a year he paid. Sure, that's why people pay for insurance, so they can instead get the free guy just out of law school that literally plea bargains every case he gets. Right.

I'm thinking about Attorneys on Retainer but have not made a decision yet.

I am a member of the Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network for the past 6 years. It's not insurance but a fund you pay yearly dues. If you are involved in a legal use of force situation they will review and provide legal assistance. Although our wonderful jackboot state is trying to force them out they currently can't accept new members in WA. Give them a look. Lots of educational material on their website.

Not insurance on your guns but insurance on YOU in case you have to use your gun.

George Zimmerman probably wishes he had had it, just like he probably wishes he had had pepper spray or been a good boxer / wrestler.

I'm not a good boxer or wrestler but I carry pepper spray.

If you don't buy guns there's no need to insure them.

Yeah, so I have a separate policy through home owners just in case I ever buy any weapons.

Long time USCCA member here too. I need to look into this. I might start looking for a new insurer. I’ve seen reputed members post a few times in various gun forums over the years that USCCA saved their neck after having to use their weapons. But if this is true, it wipes out all of their credibility for me.

I had USCCA and cancelled it after that same thing probably two years ago. They did the same shit of trying to convince me not to cancel. I forget the details, dude ends up shooting someone and it's all sorts of fishy, essentially USCCA isn't an actual insurance company and that's more like an optional thing they can do if they want is support someone, it was really odd and put me off so I cancelled.

I, Spraynard, has teh policy through Barrett Manufacturing.

My M107A1 ensures that none of my other guns every fall prey to a malady.
