I doubt I'll do a platform. I just need to finish my back wall someday.. I was just at car toys buying dad a Kenwood touchscreen. They wanted a lot of money for sound deadening. I think I can just use foam and carpet for pennies on the dollar haha

Wrap it in some grey carpet. Good traction and OEM+ look

Lowes/Hd have some thin grey carpet that works great.

the ultra cheap stuff works great in the back.
    IMG_8895.jpg

Polo gets a bathroom mat & a kennel mat.
    IMG_8896.jpg

Think i might carpet the back piece. My fire extinguisher has a rubber pad, but it still kinda rattles on rough roads.

    IMG_8899.jpg
new security strap. It never bounced out, but now i dont have to worry about it on steep declines.

Is it safe to use a jukyard clock spring that’s probably sitting outside in the elements or do they not still make the OEM part?

Looks like these brushed aluminum TRD center caps are going for about $110 a set now. Pretty sure I paid like $50 in 2018.
They won't fit my new wheels. Now should I keep em or sell em?

I'm not going to say anything else on the subject of unions, work, pay, etc., but, if any of you guys are looking for work, especially the mechanically-inclined wanting to progress, those who have some tools, or are technicians of some type (even electronics), hmu. We need techs of various types in our field and tech careers pay extremely well. It's hard work in challenging environments oftentimes, but the opportunities to move up and grow are fantastic.

Edit: by pays well, I mean easily in 6-figure territory starting out. I know guys in parts warehouses making 6 figures. Lol. Techs make a lot more.

We’ll find out soon enough. A few years ago I looked into a new one while changing my steering shaft assembly and remember it being like $450. $150 at the junk yard…

This gives anyone interested an idea of what I'm talking about:

We are the biggest in the U.S. by a factor of 5, 2nd biggest in North America. For now. Privately-owned and an incredible owner and organization that is the most generous I've ever known.

I'd paint it. Latex paint may stink as long as stain, but at least you won't be getting fumed. Oil-based stain may give you a headache for a week or two driving around.

EDIT: I like the grass and carpet idea better

We had a kitchen at the Cat proving grounds down south, it was awesome seeing all the cool stuff down there. They also had a cool like drive thru trunk or treat type thing once, my kids loved it. They gave out koozies that looked like a oil filter, I like that

Just FYI, not all of our tech needs are in Az. Many are in Nevada. May be some in certain parts of Cali, some may be in New Mexico. I'm not guaranteeing location, but I am guaranteeing very well-paying jobs and opportunities at growth for the right people.

I work for a great organization (dealership), not Caterpillar itself, but I'm not surprised at your experience. Happy for you!

I don't want to say much more publicly. Lol.
