Agreed. They are definitely overemphasizing the "danger" here. Keeping the oil cooler, especially if you are running thinner synthetics makes sense, though. Were I truly worried about the situation they are doomsaying about I'd just dump two extra quarts down the fill tuber with the drain plug open and the end. It'd displace and dilute enough to move it out. As it stands, I agree that just doing regular changes will prevent any major issues.

it just stops receiving "feature updates" - I have one old ass HP x360 laptop that runs Win11 23H2 fine, but there's no way to update it to the 24H2 build (or later). But it still gets regular updates just fine.
