What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

you should be in good shape then. Ya I ordered this set from him. I just put in the gtr led bulbs so I might not need to run em. Bailey was solid to work with.

I run my her combo lenses at night all the time and never get flashed. I aimed them even higher than they are in this picture.

Looks good Rich, looks like that angle will be less offensive to oncoming traffic. They look so strong there's almost not much need for your headlights. I got the s8 in a driving combo and love it. I use the amber backlight almost all the time and use the true on s8 light in place of my highbeam. I tied it into an in cab switch and when I'm driving in areas without street lights I'll drive with my finger on the switch. So if I have no one in front I'll turn it on but will drive with my finger ready to turn off the second I see any other headlights. The s8 is so strong that when it's on there's zero need and can't notice any other light being on (lows, highs, fogs, all don't matter and can't notice any difference when s8 on.

 

Oh ok, so u have driving/combo then and not wide cornering then, my bad, I thought I remember u saying u had wide corner. But that's good to know, that even the driving combo don't result in u getting flashed all the time. I'm guessing it might still be bright and bother oncoming somewhat, but it's still good to know it's not that bad to where people always feel the need to tell you. That even reinforces my idea to get them as well just wide corner lens. If ur not getting flashed all the time with that beam pattern, it can only be even less offensive to oncoming traffic in the wide corner. Especially where I live with not much traffic. Maybe I could even run pros in that pattern with an orange laminex on it to cut down intensity further and match the stock and s8 amber drls.

 

Honestly I was planning on trying out the wide cornering lens for me fog soon. I'm just lazy to take it all apart again.

Hey Kawehi, it must be fate. My boy bluebottle right below your post has them in wide cornering. If interested, and u ask him nicely, he's a great guy and can probably send u some pics so u can see the cutoff on them and how wise they throw light. Maybe just with his top of the line photography and informative pics n posts, it can save u a whole bunch of possibly unnecessary work if u changed and didn't like. It's quite possible he can help u out and maybe u can decide for sure 1 way or other without having to find out thru trial and error. I'm pretty sure he'll be willing and able to help u make up ur mind 1 wsy or other without having to do anything but look. Ur welcome and good luck with it. Now u can't say i never did nothing for ya lol. I'm pretty sure the answer to your decision can much more easily be found out thru the man below ur most recent post. Take care of him @BlueBottle If he wants the help. Seems like he a good guy there.

 

Thanks man. Ya I'm still evaluating oncoming traffic. I watch and see if drivers are looking at me with an angry face but I have yet to see it. I am always at the ready to turn them off if need be but I think with this angle I'm all set. Give them a whirl.

Funny @mgm16trdpro mentioned this because I actually installed 1 combo the other day. I put the wide cornering back because I didn't like how the combo light was. I didn't like how when I mounted it the spot was too far outboard away from the front of the truck. It's hard to see in the pictures and not sure why my truck is doing it because it doesn't look like yours is doing it. I feel at the location of the stock fogs the wide cornering seems like the best.

Hard to see but you can see the spot below the first blue taoe and it's to the left compared to the headlight. This is at about 20'.

 

See I knew I was correct in saying my boy blue would come thru. If there was someone I could count on to help another on this site with great pics and info I knew I had the right guy for the job. Hopefully @Not-required gets the great info and pics you took the time out your day to post for us. Hey buddy, even if no ome else happened to appreciate it I'll let you know now I do. This has just confirmed my decision to do wide cornering as I was planning. Ur da man blue.

 

I like how in the 2nd pic up from the bottom you can clearly see a nice evenly spread of light from in front of the truck to how it wraps around to the right. For me that's exactly what I'm looking for in a fog light. I don't want hot spots. I want my fogs to have a nice cutoff illuminating directly in front but even more so around to the side of the truck, the wider the better. To me each light has a purpose. From my fogs I'm looking for exactly what in the pic on right is doing. Nice even widespread low cutoff light from directly in front and as far to the side as possible. My heads and s8 are to see far and high in front with a hot spot down the road, don't want that in my fogs. The amber serves it own purpose too but I'll save u all from getting into that here and now.

Not after that post lol. No I'm just kidding, I'm only messing that ur post won't allow u to sell. Someone will, it will just have to be from someone who's looking to supplement more additional light to their headlights. There's more than enough out there looking for that. Shit it would be me if I didn't already have a plan to upgrade heads. That's why there's so many options for everything, everyone is always looking for a different specific application.

Installed the AVS hood protector, Pro Grill and Sway bar. Think done for now as wife is not happy did all of this with a truck that is 3 weeks old and less than 500 miles. So will be saving up and planning for some other additions like bed cover, running boards, TRD Intake Air Box and TRD Duel exhaust.

 

That post help for sure. I'll most likely get around to throwing on the wide cornering. I just get lazy after wrenching all day at work and coming home and working on my 82 pickup. Doesn't leave much time.

 

I’ll let u know but factor in the cost of shipping 4 wheels and you’d be better off buying a set new to be honest

Not a major mod but was able to delete some more chrome. Plasti dipped all the badges. Was really easy and turned out pretty clean looking. Also hit the exterior with its 4th coat of TopCoat F11.
