Our daughter is also over CO. States like GA will give her a full ride as she’s a 4.0 student.
I told her to research those states / universities where she wands to go. As of now, she has a good deal with her employer (Starbucks). They pay for online (Arizona State) so long as she works 30 (?) hours a week minimum. So she can always stay there and they’ll pay her entire first four years and then she’ll go for her masters / doctorate
My wife’s employer has also offered to pay for her (wife) schooling if she goes for X-ray tech. ($$$). She’ll then take that and go for MRI tech. Basically either/or she can then read X-rays and MRI’s. My wife went to the introduction class last week

Much better. She went back to school Monday- pissy but still went as she was mad at the week of work she had to catchup on

 

Xmas party…went to ours last year. My company paid for flights, hotel, and car rental for the wife and I. It’s one of the things I enjoy about working for a smaller company. They treat me well when I ask for it.
Last bonus check before this one (September) they said - we can do the taxes and code it as xyz or I can just give you the check (I think this one was around 4-5k?) and u figure out ur taxes when it’s time. Sold.
No xmas party this year- fortunately. I think they finally figured out spending $15k on a hotel ballroom, catered food, bar and then expenses of hotels, flights, cars etc for anyone needing/wanting one wasn’t worth it
Last year at the party, was the first time I sat at a bar, in front of my favorite beer (New Belgium, Voodoo) on tap so the wife can enjoy herself with her drinks.

 

Not for X-mas but when my wife worked for the airlines, they had a yearly thing they called the ACE awards where they held a big corporate thing for top employees from around the country. They would fly us out to their HQ in Ft. Worth and do the whole fancy ass dinner and awards thingy. I hated it for many different reasons- I hate people. I hate getting dressed up, I hate having to play nice. I hate corporate BS. I hate listening to speeches, etc.

 

Yes and I needed to take full advantage of it.

Well what was just gonna be some cutting to run power in my wooden floors from the wall, I’ve now also decided to add more power above some cabinets for more led lighting and a spot to move my interior camera so get more windows / back door coverage. Guess I need to go to HD to get a few things
