Hood Nose Cap...

When I opened the hood on my '21 TRD Pro I heard a 'snap'. Looked up and one of the brackets to the 'nose cone' of the hood has snapped. (see pics) Does anyone know if this can be fixed by replacing the bracket, or does the whole 'nose cone' need to be replaced.

If you take it off, you may be able to jb weld that piece back together. I have had good success with similar issues but don’t know what the other piece of that bracket looks like

 

Mine broke like that and I tried several glues and epoxies with no luck.
I ended up replacing the part..

Does JB Weld work on plastic?

 

plastic weld......and there are also some good vids on fixing clips on youtube using tools that heat wire for strength and use plastic weld

Its the metal clip that snaped, not the 'nose cone'. I found a clip on Toyota Parts Express for $1.09! I think that will fix it.

I thought the mount broke off..

 

FYI If the whole mount breaks, you can just move the bolt and metal piece over to the next bracket. This is what I had to do with mine and its been holding great for a year now.
