I know many folks who pushed for promotions/titles/more money and ended up miserable because of it. I'm glad you were able to find the right role to balance work stress vs. pay. The higher up you move in an organization the more of yourself you have to give and the more available you have to be outside of normal work hours. It isn't always worth it in my opinion.

 

Some people are retiring, some are not, Wisconsin is good. And then there's the baby name too.

So the wife and her bestie are at her law firm party tonight.
You may, or may not, recall she is the event planner for such events.
She said the total was right at $55K for this shindig.
Open bar, cocktail hour before dinner, foo foo dinner, and desserts.
She and I made 100 fucking dessert togo boxes for people.
She did everything; designed the place settings, flowers to her specs, dinner tasting a few weeks ago, the ballon stuff is her design, you name it..

So, I have wanted to put Christmas lights on my ride for decades. Literally decades. Never been able to work out the wiring and gear to make install and removal reasonable.

I buy a Tundra HD with a 120v outlet in the bed.

This is the year Fucking influencers start a Fucking trend of putting 100’s of lights on their McLaren’s and Lambos and driving around. So the Po-Po has to respond…grrr.

 

I never thought of doing it, but honestly might have to see about it now. Never had a use for the outlet in the bed.
