    Hello,
I took my 2020 into Toyota tundra into a Toyota dealership near me, the timing cover was leaking, so they performed a reseal.

they had my truck for 6 days and called me today to let me know it was ready. After I paid for the service I was given my keys and then proceeded to go start my truck.
I lifted the hood to inspect the timing cover, noticed that coolant was leaking at a lower coolant hose.
Other cooler line brackets missing bolts, evaporated coolant all over the top of the radiator. And a shop towel stuffed down the side of the windshield washer reservoir.

I immediately notified the dealer and they sent the service manager to come and investigate, he was pretty pissed off and told me that the tech was to be written up.
They kept my truck and informed me that their shop foreman would be correcting these issues.
They provided a loaner car and kept my truck to correct the shoddy work.

after leaving the dealer it occurred to me that maybe the technician had not even resealed the timing cover. I decided to call the dealer back and express my concerns.

the service manager was a master tech prior to being the service manager and was very apologetic.

considering that this is a 4k repair I would expect them to have done it right.
Would you recommend contacting Toyota corporate, or should I leave it as is?
My truck only has 39k miles on it and is immaculate and very well taken care of.
    Cheers.

Timing cover reseal? for $4k or cam tower reseal for $4k?

As for your tale of woe, sorry to hear. It's never reassuring when the dealer F's up like that. Let them make you whole first.

Take it to corporate if the service goes in the shitter.

I don't disagree with @B.Ross, buuut you could option to contact corporate merely so that your concerns are documented, just in case things suddenly go sideways.

Let them complete the work and make everything right. It sure is frustrating but if you go back in guns blazing, the service you get back might diminish. It sounds like they're owning up to the mistakes and poor craftsmanship which is good. I would go as far as asking for some kind of limited warranty on the seal and any other work that was done since you expressed concerns over whether it was done or even done correctly.

I hate when things like this happen, but it sounds like the service manager is doing his best to remedy the situation. I'd give him that chance to make it right.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Maybe he was just stating the cost, not what he was paying.

The leak has to be pretty substantial for Toyota to warranty.

Same thing happened on my 21 RAV4, leaking timing cover. Was very slight. I noticed it doing an oil change. They fixed it under warranty. Although the service advisor clown tried to tell me about my 3yr 36k warranty being up. I pointed out that the engine was most definitely part of the drive train with a longer warranty. Moved to the next service advisor and said I’m not dealing with that other guy. They did a great job fixing the leak.
