I was there last night, these guys won't go under 40K. Truck looks great. I told them to call me when it does not sell. I need to employ some KGB tactic, find some friends to throw some really insulting offers at them and make 35-36K look really appealing :)

I wish I had my 2013 with me as a trade in but is now in Lubbock getting fixed after the deer crash from 2 weeks ago :(

It started with a cracked windshield and then the camera mis-alignment.
Can't figure out for the life of me about what the headlight malfunction is all about.... lights didn't go out, but somehow ECU is freaking out about something....
No rodent activities, I have resident feral cats living under my truck at all times that it is parked.....

I worry that the 2013 will have a mark on Carfax, and dealer would of course low ball you on the trade-in....
When's your son coming down south? Christmas? Maybe have him bring the truck down, and once you have it, it is easier to walk in and ask for a trade.

Just have them a full ECU reflash just eliminate the possibility of anything being corrupted. That is a weird one indeed.

I know, and crapped a starter under 30K miles was another curse.....
Fully appreciate the extended warranty that I have (that I didn't know I have)
Those are all covered, just time and inconvenience that it is causing.
I seriously need a third vehicle just to be able to move around without having to take wife's car....

O the kido is already here. He got a rental from the insurance for a month. The truck will take few weeks to be done particularly during Christmas when things are slow. I am thinking giving them the VIN number and let them go from there. No idea what a 2013 129K miles will be worth. Need to look around and the KBB as well.

Ah damn. Sorry about that... but yea, see if they are willing to do a trade that way. Or, just sell the truck up north and cash that down south?

Usually in a trade-in deal I can get the upper hand by getting the max on the trade-in and lowering a bit the asking price. It works better sometime.

Yea, I know. Having a car to trade is always better, but with that being up north and taking some time, I wonder if just selling it there might be easier if you are set on rid of it.
When I traded in my Forester (big regret) for the Tundra, I was able to get my asking trade-in price plus lower purchase price.

Also this truck was sold in January 2021 and it passed the 3 years limit to get the Toyota extended warranty which would've really been awesome.

Anyone have any recommendations for saw mills in the north houston or east houston area? I have a bunch of huge 100+ year pines that need cut and removed, am hoping that the cost to remove the tree would offset the revenue gained from the wood so that the job would essentially be low cost if not free.

Also, I can't post in the classifieds section. It says I need 50 substantial posts but I have over 70+. I'm not spamming posts, I've had this account since May. Should I reach out to a Moderator?

And last night I found out rear passenger tire is low, this morning found out it was a freaking bolt....
With some talking, got DT to order the AT4 coming in next Monday morning. Dealer will have to wait until Wednesday then.

I am thinking about swapping my head unit with the Kenwood Excelon Reference DMX1057XR. Unit looks like a nice plug-and-play. Any good installers in Houston who can do a clean and reliable job? Don't mind the price tag.

NXT UP Offroad - he's near Tomball/Magnolia. Ask for Mark. He has done several of my installs, very clean and professional. He installed morimotos and I asked to be careful with the OEM headlights as the tabs are easily broken upon removal and I wanted to sell them and his guys did a great job. He installed bed covers, lighting, tires/wheels/lift, audio, he does it all.

I am pretty sure the information is in this some 70 page thread, but does anyone know of a shop that has a reputable Toyota Master Tech?
I am done with the dealer, they want a new OEM windshield before they will consider moving on with eliminating other possible issue when a complete ECU flash might have just fixed the issue.
I hope it is somewhere closer to NW Houston, but I am not sure if shops outside of dealer is able to do ECU flash?

I will send you Maynard contact, the guys who did my tune before the supercharger. He is an ex Toyota tech and he got all the tools to do your ECU flash and help you troubleshoot. But I am sure you will have to pay for his time :) He is an AWESOME guy.

Or drive to Huntsville and I will put you in touch with the Toyota master tech who did my supercharger, very capable guy.

I hope everyone is ready for the freezing temps. Please do not get on there if it snows a bunch with ice on top of the cold and snow. Stay home, be safe and warm and watch the bumper cars on the television.

Last repost I saw was up to 4 inches of snow with ice coming too.

Please safe out there and if you have to be put there in it please allow a bunch of extra time.
