My rotor warped at around 8500 miles. Bring the truck in and of course they told me everything is normal. I asked did they use dial indicator to check runouts and the advisor either played dumb or have no idea what a dial indicator is. And he did told me off the record the truck shakes under heavy braking, but all smooth if brake slowly and lightly. What a joke.

But on the bright side, they did fixed my window noise. Tech states "upon inspection test drove vehicle at Highway speeds could not verify concerns." "Brought vehicle into shop and found insulation not secure, readjusted and resecured window run seal and test drove. VERIFIED ABNORMAAL NOSIE IS NO LONGER HEARD"......So he heard it. denial it on paper, went to fix it, put on paper no longer heard it...

On the shuttle the other guy told me his Camry had injector problem since last year and took them multiple time back and forth to warranty it finally...

So did you guys drove it until it explodes then bring it in? Or is there any trick?

what if no TSB? Did you wait until the problem get worse to the point a blind person can point out the issue?

checked the dash cam. 3 tech did some hot laps in local street all confirmed it does it. They are discussing warranty pays more than customer, since warranty needs to check rotor runoffs. They comes to a conclusion that its my driving haabbit and road condition to overheating the brakes.....so unless its really serious it doesn't count?

Is this true or sarcasm? If so the service manager and dealership manager needs to watch that video.

It’s true. They unplugged my dash cam but left the most obvious Toyota oem dash cam that beeps and has led indicators on.

i guess that speaks volume regards what kind of intelligent people we talking about.

Finding a new dealer is a problem sometimes. I went from 1 who I wasn't happy with to another, that promptly charged 75 dollars to instal wiper blades and told me there was nothing they could do that's the price. They then didn't complete half the work it was in there for, and blamed me, but had no answer when I showed them in writing what they agreed too.

Long story short, sometimes you gotta find a new brand. Toyota has lost me because of their dealers, in the same vein as kia to me now.

In my experience other brand ain't much better, same bs. Luxury brands are much more pleasant experience wise but the vehicle are just not reliable enough...I still would rather deal with wrapped rotors than a 13-16 hour oil pan leak job on a BMW x5/X7......

You can file a claim with Toyota Brand Engagement, 1-800-331-4331. They will send you a link to your claim in the portal where you can upload comments, pictures and videos of the issue. I am currently going through one right now for my digital rearview image having horrible glare from headlights and my driver's side side mirror delaminating/pitting. They stated that they were able to have the same glare on another model but they didn't demonstrate it to me, told me to just call Brand Engagement. I had a co-worker send me video of his at night and no diagonal streaking glare like mine (last picture). I checked the camera and it is clean. For the side mirror, they stated it was from rock chips and the condition that I drive in because there were a few small chips on the windshield. I am still trying to understand the logic on that one considering the windshield and mirror face opposite directions and there is no damage on any of the trim, plastic, door, window, etc. Then they suggested it was probably from a chemical that I used. The truck has 8500 miles on it and I detail it at least every other week with high quality products, plus it is garage kept with the exception of when I am at work. I am pretty meticulous with all of my vehicles (OCD maybe).

I never understand those advisors...they treat warranty claim like money out of their own retirement account.
Chronic liars, worse than used car sales....

I went to the dealership this evening and spoke with the Service Manager after Brand Engagement called me and basically told me there was nothing they could do. He spent an hour with me going over the issues and even got another platinum to see if it was the same issues. It did not have the glare that I did. He was great to deal with so hopefully they get things fixed.

Car warranty following the path of American health insurance industry. Claim denied, more data needed, peer scheduled, still denied, patient condition deteriorates, claim denied, patient dead.
