I was handed 2 keys for my 25 Tundra and didn't think anything of it. I got 2 keys with my 23 Tacoma...and every other car I've ever bought in the history of my life.

I only discovered Toyota went to a single key on the Tundra here on this forum, and getting a truck with a single key just seems so weird. Why did they do that?

After reading your list , I wonder whether it was you who actually bought the car, or was it a gift? You “just found out” about the features your truck had , but had no idea there were there ? How does it even work? I’m honestly speechless. This really happens to folks who spend 55k+ on trucks only to “suddenly discover” that it has a … sunroof??? Wow…

/for the record, I spent 3 weeks researching and building the truck on the website and then researched even more trucks on dealers’ lots to know exactly what options and packages they had/

my 24 limited had driver window noise at high speed, disappears if I use my elbow to put pressure on glass. Found out today brake rotor was wrapped at 8500 miles, had a back seat clicking noise from time to time.

I’d beat them up to fix all that under warranty. On my 2022, I just accepted and lived with problems. Found out you can lemon a car in California for minor defects like weather stripping etc. if I have issues with this truck, I’ll be pressing the issue with Toyota.

My new 25 1794 is super quiet on the highway. Apparently the 25s have an acoustic windshield. Never heard of such a thing, but i think it is a thicker layer between the two layers of glass that damps the sound.

Week and a half ago I traded my 2023 Tacoma Pro in on a new 24 Offroad Hybrid and I love it. Only 700 miles, but she's good so far. I really enjoy this truck.

Rough Country wheel liners, mud flaps, TufSkinz gloss black tailgate lettering, JDMCAR console organizer. That’s it.
A week ago we traded in our '21 Tacoma TRD Off-road 6MT (and '18 Prius IV) for a '25 Tundra Platinum 6.5' bed. Only 236 miles so far, but no wind noise, or rattles. So far so good. We are still trying to figure everything out.;)

Late February build for my 2023 SR5, w/19500 miles now. No squeaks, rattles or wind noise either. Even added a 4" lift just because. :)

Still driving a mid year 2023 Limited TRDOR. Last night watched a long walk around demo of the new ‘25 Limited TRDOR and was happy to see so many included features now. All digital dashes (added in 24), Start/Stop allows you to get in and acknowledge without engine shutting down at unlock, HD LED headlights and sequential signals standard, (though I’d miss remote headlight adjuster) High end JBL system standard, auto up tailgate standard, digital rear view mirror standard, bed step (not sure if that was standard), ability to shut off rear seatbelt alarms w/o Carista. Pano roof and 120V/w bed lights were still options. That’s quite a few updates for the minor price increase.

Although I didn't come off an early 3rd gen, I had a 2017 Tundra Crew Cab SR5 (5.7 - very reliable engine). The dealer added leather seats, lifted 2" and Falken oversized A/T tires & wheels, etc. Was a very nice reliable truck. But I decided to try a new Tundra and got the
'24 Limited TRD package 4x4 (gas), with standard 1.5" stock lift (July '24 build). Purchased at the beginning of August. The only thing I have changed so far was the tires. Just rolled over 2000 miles. Happy so far, no apparent issues, but very wary because of the engine problems,
as I didn't know about the past and/or current possibilities of engine failure (my fault for not doing my homework). I guess the only thing that I don't like about my truck is too much plastic. Would have been a nice touch to get real bumpers. The panoramic roof I could have done without.
Planning on going to AZ soon, but it won't be hot yet.. I had the roof tinted over to deal with some heat dispersion (hope it helps). I heard Hyundai was having mucho problems in AZ with their panoramic roofs blowing up and their AC's working overtime failing due to the heat there. Maybe an AZ member here could shed some light on their how their Toyota's are holding up. Well, keeping fingers crossed, would hate to have engine failure between the CA border & Maricopa County stuck in the middle of the desert.

Unless he was lying or mistaken he said if you remote start you can enter the truck and holding the brake tap Start to keep it running (basically cancel the 10 min timer) He also said if you don’t do this and shift out of Park the truck shuts off. This is kind of how we early adopters wished they had set it up in the first place.
** Maybe a new ‘25 owner can confirm?

ok, shit, no way, I'd have to see that to believe it.

I don't think toyota changed the engine kill remote start thing for the tundra, I thought I read the taco stays on now, which is super stupid

I have a 25 Limited now on my 3rd week. Remote start shuts down after 10 min, and when you open the door it does kill the engine.
Discovered today that idiotic program goes one step further. If you open the tailgate it also kills the engine.

Thanks for your response. I’ll circle back and see if he was talking about the new Taco. It has Safety Sense 3.0 (along with 3 or 4 other models) and we are on 2.5. Might have come in that upgrade.

Thanks! Yes, I have the Westcott 2" front and 1" rear. It has AVS with air ride. You are correct on tire size, 34.1" . I believe they are 275/65/20.

essentially identical features from my 23 hybrid. liked the blue hue lighting in the console and underdash a little better than the white lighting in the 25. not sure i love the black headliner in the 25 yet. ALso i like the storage under the back seat with the non hybrid

My '25 also shuts off after remote starting and unlocking. I don't even have to open the door. I have a very high pitched whistle coming from the driver's door/window area. My seat back also crackles when I accelerate from a stop and/or come to a stop. Sounds like there's something in there (heated/cooled seat parts or elements?) that's moving around or I'm pressing against.

I have about 2500 miles on the truck and haven't had time to investigate either issue further.

Congrats on your new 25; I'm 10 days into a 25 1794/iMax/TRDOR/TRD Performance. Coming from a 99 Taco, it feels like the little mermaid just got her legs!
Fingers crossed, I have had none of the issues many others described.
My two complaints are that the remote start turns off needlessly, and that the interior lighting is only mood lighting, completely useless if you need to see or read something. The MESO Customs interior LED's are guaranteed to be in my future when they are back in stock.

I have a 23' Limited and just noticed some bowing in the middle of the first panel. I only noticed it because I was standing in the bed of the truck washing bird crap off the top of the cab. I had this truck since November of 22 and the two glass panels always evenly lined up. I have not noticed any leaks, but I would not be surprised if this becomes a problem. As far as the brake squeal, I removed my pads and applied CRC synthetic brake and caliper grease to the sliding points and backing pad...took care of the squealing. I had to use customer relations to file a claim to get a dealership to address the wind noise problem with the front driver side window. A new window seal was installed due to the one from the factory having a defect. I could imagine most of the issues 22-23 owners experienced will not be an issue for 25 models. I also noticed the wireless charging unit was changed for 2025. Time will tell if the motor in the 2025 will have any failures.

I had this issue from the driver side window. I brought it into two different Toyota dealerships. I was irritated when the service manager agreed to drive the truck while I sat in the passenger seat. He acknowledged he could hear the wind noise at highway speed and told me that he could not fix it until Toyota pushed out TSB. My truck is still under warranty. I complained to corporate and they got involved and it was eventually fixed. They replaced a window seal and it corrected the issue. It is a shame that it had to escalate to customer relations to get it fixed.
