Door handle covers

Just like many others I want to ditch the chrome door handles and mirror caps. Not sure if I want to drop the coin to go with new ones in black through @Roman Is there a viable option on some of the covers that I've seen on eBay and such? Do they actually cover it up well or are they a waste of cash trying to band aid fix it.

YOu didn’t have to do that. I thought you might just remember off of the top of your head.

 

Steve, @caz41 posted the Ebay covers for $75. It seems to me, based on your links, that it’d be almost cheaper to buy the door handles rather than get the covers anyway. I didn’t realize they were that cheap. Thank you for the links!!!!

cheapest way would be to find someone to trade handles with

 

Following what I thought was the right link had the door handles priced at $106 and the mirror caps priced at $81

 

Was that each door handle for $106 and mirror cap each at $81? Or was that for both door handles and both mirrors?

 

Sparks toyota sells color matched kits starting at 225.00 for crewmax as for as the mirror caps they just pop off and any paint and bodyshop should be able to paint fairly cheap under 50 bucks.

 

Nice. I want to get my tailgate handle color matched someday.

Used to be an upcharge for attitude black (218) of $225 to paint both orders. For 2018 they are now coming direct from Toyota pre painted so no upcharge as I understand it. No pics tho. Order is in NC and working in VA right now. For $223 I would order new with Roman.

Yeah, that looks so much better. I'm not a fan of black handles. Eventually I'll look into having mine done.

 

hey all! I’m a little late to the party, but do you guys know where I could find maybe a cover over the chrome handles or a replacement part to color match?
I kinda just want to color match the rectangular portion of the handle that’s chrome.

Yeah, I was able to find some gloss black ones that stick on if those interest you.

So it’s like a hard plastic with 3m tape on the inside. It’s very sturdy so far and definitely great for the price. However, for my 21 Tundra, the keyhole cap for the driver door didn’t fit, so I had to use one of the extras caps that was provided. It covers the keyhole, so it matches with the other doors. I didn’t see myself using the keyhole anyways so didn’t bother me and looks nicer. if you’d like I can take some photos once I’m home, but anyways here’s the link. It arrived pretty quick too.

Thank you! I also have a 21' Tundra and don't see myself using the key either. If you feel like posting up pics that'll be great. Much cheaper than color matched replacement set.
