Can you give me a bit more details?

Where did you get the harness? Part number?

Did you get the bulbs from a dealership? Part number?

Was easy, intuitive to do the upgrade?

Looks like the grill has to come off?

    Thanks

    Welcome from NY.
Where are you located? A friend of mine has a pair of LED headlights that he might be selling if he doesn't keep the Tundra.

Grill comes off real easy, YouTube certified me on that one. LOL
I think the way to tell if you have halogens is by the DRL.
Led has full surround DRL and halogen only has it on the bottom.
    I could be mistaken.

Have a 2016 Platinum and swapped to 2019 TRD Pro LEDs. Search @iHacker and you will find the install thread and description of the part you need(harness is plug and play).

Youtube is a best friend for grill removal. Whole process maybe took me an hour(mainly because I obliterated my fender and had to mash it back to get the headlight to seat).

Any of the Toyota parts websites, they often run 20-25% discounts and you can also catch free shipping too. Fred Anderson is the one I've used lately but sometimes toyotapartsdeal.com gets you a better price. Basically Google to part number you want and check a few authorized toyota dealerships until you find one with a price you like.

OEM and I hacker. Catch the lights on sale, you will not be disappointed. Another vote for Fred Anderson.

Because the cheapest I can find OEM lights are about $310 each [I've searched and cannot find any on sale] then add the harness and it is ~ $750. The kits are $500 and $630. If they are as good [which I don't know] they are less expensive.

If they were all the same price, I'd love to get the iHacker harness.

And OEMs with @iHacker is the right answer - buy once, cry once.

You're talking about saving $100-150 on one of the most critical systems on the truck. I guarantee you the non-OEM lights will disappoint you in some way. They will not match the performance, they will crack, fade, leak or otherwise not be built to the standard that the OEM light is. I'm pretty "thrifty". This is not one of the things I would try to cheat the system and save a few bucks cause I know better than literally everyone else that I asked. The thing about seeking wise council is, you have to be wise enough to take the advice. Good luck with you lighting adventure, choose wisely!
