Hey all. I just picked up 6112/5160's for my 2020 and I'm looking for someone to point me in the direction of good, step by step instructions on how to do the install. I'm pretty comfortable with a wrench but I earned my degree from YouTube university.

I have never touched suspension before and would feel much more comfortable having something to follow along with. It can be written or a video.

    Appreciate it in advance!

First, search here. Search box in upper right. There are threads with pics, details of installs.
and or- search on youtube, im sure there is a vid out there of a Tundra coilover install.

I appreciate it. Sorry for not searching first. Rookie mistake.

I recently changed out my front and rear shocks (stock OEM for Eibach Stage 2R's) as well as changing out the upper control arms (stock OEM for Dirt King UCA's). I did not change or add anything else.

Like you, I had not done any type of suspension work on any vehicle. I did plenty of searching on this site (and got a lot of helpful information), and I also referenced Youtube for any visual walkthroughs.

I found these videos very helpful in changing out the shocks and UCA's on my 2011 SR5 CM 4x4, which shouldn't be much, if any, different than yours.

    https://youtu.be/oUpTxegQ89Y?si=glyV-83Il1JbUKWo

Those videos show changing out stock parts for stock parts, so they don't address aftermarket lift configurations. But they should be useful in getting the concepts for working with getting the old parts uninstalled and getting the new parts installed.

This is awesome. I'm doing UCAs as well so this is extremely helpful. Thanks.

@Thumper_6119 sent you some good links. The particular suspension won't change "how" it's installed so it should be good there.

Pretty sure you picked up your goodies from us here at Hotshot Offroad as well so we're always around if you need a lifeline :fistbump:

Invest in a torque wrench as well. I’m a big fan of torque’ing shit down to what it’s supposed to be set at.

In the middle of installing JBA UCAs and having some trouble. Driver side was easy. But the passenger side is kicking my butt trying to install the long bolt into the new UCAs. I've already got it through the front UCA bushing all the way but can't seem to line it up into the rear bushing without the bolt hitting all the passenger side hoses (which also got in the way when removing that bolt but I was able to wiggle it out after a lot of effort). I've looked at install videos and tried searching on here for tips on the passenger side, but most videos show the driver side install and most threads on here say how easy the passenger side was. Those of you who've done the install, any tips on clearing all those hoses in that tight passenger side?

Finally got that bolt all the way in. I’m guessing some Tundras’ passenger side is easier and some harder, like mine was. Those hoses were a pain to work around in. Driver side was easy peasy for me, though.
