What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Just put 285/60r20s Falken Wildpeaks on. Rims are 20x9 +20 offset and Toytec 2.5 level in the front. Rubs a little at full lock on the mudflap. Hoping a heat gun can fix that. I had 275/65r20 K02s on before and they felt tall and skinny. These 285/60s make a pretty big visual difference in the stance, especially in person. I feel like they fit the rims a lot better too. Very pleased.

They both ended up being the same. SPC's installation sheet shows 200 ft lbs on the top nut and 45 ft lbs on the lower.

 

what lift/tire setup you running

 

The maintenance free do not have zerks.

 

Have any of you done a shift boot? I'm thinking something like this would be a nice touch

this looks absolutely badass i probably have enough crown bags to supply this whole forum with shifter boots LOL might need to look into this mod

 

I added one a few months ago. Not entirely different, just took a few tries to get it situated the way I wanted underneath the trim piece.

 

how did you get the boot to stay up on the shaft and not slide down?

I've got the Banks iGauge but have been considering switching to (or adding) a SG if the next gen iGuage doesn't address its short comings.

I'll be ordering some mounts for it this week.

 

How do you like that Pioneer amp and what do you have it powering? I’ve been eyeing the same one.

 

How does that trim piece/ surround come off?

 

I have the same setup, phone is a Galaxy 23, ram mount would drop phone while off-roading, kwig mount holds verry tight, ordered off Amazon

 

Remove shifter knob then take a plastic pry tool to remove just that piece of trim.Shifter boot will tuck under the trim then reinstall trim

 

Couple wraps of heat shrink on the bottom of the shift knob. Put the shift boot on around that and zip tie around it.
