I can't wait to go from 275 to 37. I'm just waiting on hotshot and some extra $$$ for wheels and tires snice I just dropped 7K on suspension. Also have to add DRT BMR to the list.

 

The list goes on and on.

 

Just don't forget to enjoy the process. And find a good welder to install your BMR.

Yea that was going to be an issue finding someone that has done a BMR before. Was going to try and do it myself but I don't trust my welding so much.

Going this direction soon. Thinking +40mm MR318's, heard both ways they will and they won't fit due to UCA clearance. Running JBA's, what is everyones thoughts on that offset? I see some Rock Warriors in this thread so Im guessing it'd be ok.

 

I'm not an expert but I know the sweet spot is +25 so if you go with +40 that is about .59 closer to the UCA. They make MR318 in +18 which will be alot better.

 

Cannot beat the Method Trail series. especially if you are going to be airing down for offroad.

I have the 18" +25 701 awesome wheels had both 295/70s and now 37x12.5 tires.

Do most of you guys re-gear when going to 37’s?

 

I’m still on 4.30.

 

I'm still stock. Couple guys still tow with stock fears and 37s just fine.

 

I installed 5.29s back when I was on 34s. It was about 8-10 months tilli installed the 37s.

 

Did 5.29s when on 295/70 then went to 37s about 4 months later

 

I’m still on stock gears after almost 8 years. It’s doable. I would’ve liked to regear but didn’t really want to spend the $$.
Stock w/ 37s is a bit annoying on the hwy - it downshifts way too easily on a slight incline.
Loss of power - absolutely - but Tow/Haul I believe makes up for it (that said, I honestly don’t remember what power/acceleration felt like before the lift/37s).

I’m still interested in regearing & will splurge on it at some point. If I were to do it again, I’d definitely re-gear right away after a lift/37s (+ e-locker since diff is already being opened up).

 

Are you driving on S mode? I’m sure we all lock the TC on 4th gear since it’s 1:1.

So for me, I have a column shifter so I just pull it all the way down and I’m in S4.

 

Yes I agree, if you're gonna re-gear, might as well get the lockers in there at the same time. I'll eventually do it as well. Just not necessary at the moment.

 

I think the thing with regear and lockers is not only the cost, but the cost / pain of correction if it's not right. I was fine fooling with suspension stuff, but cracking open that front diff is no-mans land for me. Don't even bother chiming in @reywcms I already know what you're gonna say.

Hello, I'm new here and I have a question... I'm going to put the 37" in my truck and I can't decide between 4.88 or 5.29, so I want to know which is better for my case. My truck is used daily in the city and very few I sometimes tow my RZR. those that have 37x13.50r17 I would like to see some photos of their trucks
