Those are spendy...1/2 way to a built transmission.

 

I think I figured out why my pressure is up, previous configuration must have had some voltage drop due to the length of the circuits. Since I added the 1/0 wiring to the breaker and ground bus bar, I shortened the length of 10GA wiring used on each circuit and lowered the resistance.

 

shits junk- anything but oem coils always cause issues

 

Powertrax showed up yesterday. Ordered last friday through jegs. not bad

 

Cool. My Speedmaster showed up last night. Getting set for the install. Looks good too. Forgot who the tech was I spoke with at ECGS but said it's a good unit. Glad I jumped on the deal.

 

The fit of the big ass drive shafts into the powertrax was tight, a couple of wacks with a dead blow got them going and torquing the axle nuts brought them home. I wonder if the Speedmaster is similar in that regard.

 

I spoke with outlaw offroad in Atlanta who did an install of the speedmaster. Ryan the manager said it went in with no issues. I'm hoping to get mine in today or tomorrow.

 

I'm planning on testing the axle fit into the powertrax before I take everything else apart, just in case. Dont want to tear the whole truck apart then find the splines dont fit

The later production runs were supposed to have addressed the tolerance issue. Hope there aren't any on yours or mine...

 

That's what I'm hoping. I didnt look to see if it had a date stamp on it

 

We did not have to take it back apart and just kept going it was tight but you can tell the splines line up nice. I would not hesitate to do the install again, the only hard part is lifting that chunk up in the air to install. That might be why I'm having shoulder surgery in about a month.

 

Similar experience here. Passenger side slid right in, driver lined up and started and needed a couple snacks from a deadblow. No issues afterwards.

 

Mine were snug but fit fine according to my installer. Hopefully the axles pull out ok for the upcoming regear would be my only concern.

Yea arh 1” 7/8 with cats to help keep it somewhat mild lol I’ve ran kooks on other cars also good stuff

 

already done engine mounts? I hear headers are a lot easier to do with those out of the way

For some reason I had issues with the JBA LT's and getting my solid mounts on. When I replaced my engine some ass over torqued the engine mounts...oh, that was me
Will get them in when I drop the front diff for regear.

 

Nice! I've had to pull the long tubes a few times. It's not bad at all. It would just go so much better without all those air tubes in the way.

 

would it be any easier to do the solid mounts with the front diff out?

 

That's what I plan to do. Solid offroad said it might be easier to get the diff out of the way.

 

On that gold wrap subject, this stuff works awesome for HVAC. The double bubble stuff is still thin but has a 4.2 R value all by itself. They have thicker stuff with higher R value as well. A 3/4” air gap with the standard 4.2 wrap gives you an R10.
