I was just reading something maybe 4 or 5 days ago, where some major, undeniable phenomenon (weather? animal? I can't recall) was happening off the western seaboard that indicated a major, near cataclysmic event was coming to the west coast. I don't think it was this earthquake, but it was a similarly major event - potentially even suggesting loss of land into the ocean. But I was reading it when I couldn't fall back asleep at 4am and now I can't remember what it was.

I do remember the weird dreams I was having last night though, there was a dude in my dreams who manufactured or crafted baby doll arms with tattoos and big eyeballs on them. And the guy himself was weird, weighed like 350 but you could tell he'd already lost hundreds of pounds because his skin sagged pretty bad, wore minimal clothing, and was covered in line-art tattoos that were light-to-medium blue, from head to toe.

Mind you, I haven't ingested a drop or atom of any intoxicants, and I'm not on medications currently.

In all seriousness, I don't wish any harm or destruction on lives or property. My understanding is the plate-shift was lateral, not horizontal. Probably be a nothing-burger. Another dose of distraction.

My buddy’s shop was also busting at the seams, so he loaned me his forklift for about 5~6 years. It was an absolute game changer for engine swaps, cab swaps, swapping spit, lifting axles, welders, pruning trees, tractor implements, 55 gallon drums of oil, lifting entire cars, ect, ect. I miss that machine… a lot.

Just an update for any interested parties. Since driving the truck per my usual style, I see minimal (at best) gains, if any, in fuel economy since injector replacement. All gains and improvements have been in the runnability of the truck.

*Note* I never expected better fuel economy and seller never claimed it.

I wonder why the destruction is based around Cali. That was a pretty interesting post either way.

Yes, I bought 12-holes from Keith ~ a month ago. At ~ 230k I could tell the truck needed refreshing in that department. Very happy with them. Replaced them at the same time I did the upgraded starter to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

What's the story with the ebay kits? I know way more about putting turbos on sports bikes than I do about hopping up these engines. What's the weak point on these engines, pistons, rods, cranks? Thanks

I don't know much about the eBay kit or turbos in general, but it's been posted before

    If there’s tongue involved.

You can kiss your grandma without “swapping spit”.

Just noticed that the oil pans are different, I thought the dip stick was bent but the new trans has a much shorter pan.
I was thinking of swapping the pan, but I’m not sure if the pickup would be too short to get fluid, or if the pickup would fall off since it wouldn’t sit on the bottom of the pan when it’s bolted. What do you think?

Forklifts are a big investment, unless I can convince Jake to let me borrow his forklift, in pursuit of clearing space in his shop.

I did, I was indicating that, the question mark was more of a, “you know that, right?!”
