    Don't tell Elon...

Truth be told, I probably spend more time "working" while at home than in the office. It's just not a consecutive 8hrs but more like 10hrs throughout the day.

I have to work from home occasionally, but I hate it. I end up putting over 12 hours in because I work through my commute time, only need 10 minutes for lunch, then have trouble finding a stopping point unless I am pulled away. I get a lot done, but I encroach on *MY* time!

I teleworked more a few years back, like 3-4 days week. Now I might do one day every month.

My work can be kind of slow too so there's lots of screen time waiting for other people to respond to emails or provide info to sort/vet and pass on. At least in the office I can BS with other people during my downtime or put out other small fires. At home it's just me and the dogs...very quiet. And yeah, lunches are too easy at home

I was able to pass sometime this morning shining up the .44's

I'm more than ready. Not worried at all about getting bored, it's just that what we had saved up somehow magically in the last few years just isn't worth as much anymore. So not worried about boredom, but cash on hand.

Retirement for me is December 20. No, I don't have the itch to get back in the saddle. Fucking off like I'm unemployed for a month, then doing stuff like I'm unemployed with funding is my agenda.

I am a very long way off, but my current role allows a lot of time to feel retired. So I make the most of it by working around the homestead and designing stuff for my side business. Currently, all time is consumed by the little one. But I am assuming that is not a thing you all are working with lol.

Anyway, truly hoping to retire in a couple of decades and doing full time over the road adventures.

I'm one of those who cannot see myself retiring fully. I can back off and work part time, and still make pretty good money. I like the people I work with, I have a really good team working for me, and I enjoy what I do. Dealing with the inevitable frustrations that come up keep me sharp. I think I would rot if I fully retired.

What's your side business? You may have talked about it elsewhere on the site, but I'm drawing a blank.

Now that might be cheaper than a Limo or a Bus....:fistbump: and you can always use it as a get-away "Man-Cave"....

Wait, sorry , forgot who I was talking too....you would use it as a :bananadance::bananadance: wagon... that means #'s 6-9 might arrive :curls:

See, now that's an idea @snoope ! If he can get the wife on board with sticking to just the 69 then 6-9 can be prevented.

Retirement sounds nice. I have 25 - 30 years left tough, assuming I don't win the lottery. Fortunately retirement for us is looking to be cheap-ish. Neither The Woman nor I have aspirations in world travel or other high dollar activities. Our retirement plans are basically a cabin in the woods on or near a lake. Fishing, hunting, hiking and camping. If I have enough money to put gas in the truck and boat, buy a box or two of ammo and maybe a new fly rod once in awhile we'll be good.

If we can swing retirement in the US full time then Idaho, Montana or Wyoming would be on the shortlist. If we had the money, summer and fall in Alaska and winter/spring in Florida or Arizona would be the dream.

if we can't do full time US life, we've talked about doing the snowbird thing and either spending summer/fall in Alberta, BC or the Yukon and a few months each winter down in a warm state.

It all kind of comes down to how the world changes and our finances develop between now and retirement I guess.

Before the big D and the song became relative about all my exes living in that one state... I started an SPF shirt company. now I hold the trademarks to a couple things, including "Florida AF" and am working on rebuilding the brand and getting sites up and what not.
