Either way, it looks like zipping the tunes/logs will allow us to share them here as well as comparing the differences in HPT so that we can make our own edits to the tune we're running with the caveat that the tune being shared is unlocked. If it isn't, we won't even be able to look at the tables.

    Anyone running methanol injection?

I'm having some heat soak issues on my SC'd Mustang that I didn't think I would have under 75*F Where are you injecting? Been looking at port injection, and it seems to be the way to correctly do this. Others have had good success in other locations.

    IMG_5565.jpg

I have also looked at different functional hoods that would help with heat removal. Already have functional fender vents that are working overtime.

Sonnax Zip Kit and Line Pressure Booster ordered...

My ECU ID lacks most of the transmission options to tune with, so I think the Sonnax kit is a good place to start. Thanks @pursuit2550 for leading the way and helping me get a few things sorted out. Hoping to install over Christmas or New Years after I've finished up a few projects at work and have some downtime with the truck.

Luckily, my recent transmission D&F looked pretty good (visually) so I'm hoping this is more preventative than anything. I'm also very curious to inspect the VB for wear; I'm sure there are worn parts, I just want to know WHAT parts and HOW MUCH..

I'm injecting 500cc after maf before throttle body. Only using a 70/30 w/m mix on a single nozzle. It's a simple setup but aqua mist with multiple injectors would be ideal.
In spring I'll be opening my hood right above the radiator with vents/louvers.

I have been looking at ALKYControl, ProMeth, and Snow. Seems to be the ones these donkey owners have been using.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    <cannon fodder post>

    113k miles on trk
    88k miles on Harrop S/C

    changed plugs
    changed coolant.
    changed pads & rotors.

    still using the 77.5mm pulley
    stock intake
    stock TRD exhaust

    truck is running awesome.

    still getting 17mpg avg.

IAT delta is still 31 degrees. Harrop sensor.
    but,
the IAT delta is 34 degrees if I turn off A/C compressor. It's cooler in Houston now.

trans still pinned...hover ~ 165 degrees no matter what. maxed at 185 in Houston slo-ass traffic.

    MAP (boost) @ 62mph cruise = -10.5

because I'm still on the 80mm tune, boost still comes on before PE.
I can hit 6.5lbs before PE - on ramps & such.
other than that, the tune is primo.
AFR will still drop to low 10's in PE.

Cal-Trac traction bars are typical...Houston is cooling off & I need to adjust them again.

5k oil changes & it burns ZERO oil.

    still using Costco 5w-30.
will try Valvoline restore & protect next round...the oil geek channel said it works.

I got the aluminum version, anodized black. I specified in the notes when purchasing, but was emailing them back and forth beforehand.

6.5 psi before PE hits should get you a free update on your tune.

Is that your first change of plugs?

I’d be pissed, wouldn’t want the truck in boost with it that lean.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    it's my fault.

I changed the pulley...and have been too lazy to bring it back to re-tune.

my work around is to just hit the pedal a smidge harder, then PE happens.

Yeah just be careful. My biggest concern would be towing. Enough throttle to get into boost while towing but not enough to get fueling right. Easy tune change though…so worth an email ask to your tuner asking if he can reduce PE TPS and get you closer to aligning boost and PE when on throttle

Yeah wouldn’t worry about that. Again unless it’s for prolonged instances. Ie towing up a mountain pass at 1-2 psi and 14.7 afr

It would be a good time to do the magnuson airbox w/ SABM and TRD accelerator too! Plus any other mods you may be eyeing. Might save a few bucks on future tuning adjustments.

Im going to try and learn more about it. I’d like to do something, may go this route. Initial thoughts is they look like a reputable company and I’ve started watching this install video which looks promising. Reviews on the other options seem hit or miss. Haven’t seen a bad review on this one yet but will keep an eye out. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DxbvobUqcI8&pp=ygUYVHVuZHJhIG5vbWFkIHZhbHZlICBib2R5

I don't know if it makes a BIG difference, but more airflow is always a good thing. There's a big thread on here somewhere about it and I dont recall ever seeing any negative results

With mine, I noticed a little bit more intake noise at the airbox as I approach 0psi. More available metered air isn't usually a bad thing, particularly at elevation.
